Joab said,“ If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you are to come to my rescue; but if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will come to rescue you.

He said,“ Suppose the Arameans are too strong for me. Then you must come and help me. But suppose the Ammonites are too strong for you. Then I’ll come and help you.

And he said,“ If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you shall help me, but if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will come and help you.

“ If the Arameans are too strong for me, then come over and help me,” Joab told his brother.“ And if the Ammonites are too strong for you, I will come and help you.

“ If the Arameans are too strong for me,” Joab said,“ then you will be my help. However, if the Ammonites are too strong for you, I’ll come to help you.

And he said,“ If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the sons of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will come to help you.

Then he said,“ If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the people of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will come and help you.

And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me; but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.

“ If the Arameans are too strong for me,” Joab said,“ then you will be my help. However, if the Ammonites are too strong for you, I’ll come to help you.

And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.

Joab said,“ If the Arameans start to overpower me, you come to my rescue. If the Ammonites start to overpower you, I will come to your rescue.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally there to us. Our God will fight for us.”

Only let your way of life be worthy of the Good News of Christ, that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your state, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the Good News;and in nothing frightened by the adversaries, which is for them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”

The children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the gate of the city; and the kings who had come were by themselves in the field.Now when Joab saw that the battle was set against him before and behind, he chose some of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians.The rest of the people he committed into the hand of Abishai his brother; and they put themselves in array against the children of Ammon.He said,“ If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you are to help me; but if the children of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will help you.

Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
