我意彼既偃仆、難存其生、故致之死、取其首上之冕、臂上之釧、攜至主前。

我見其將仆於地、且知其仆後必不能生、遂近其身以殺之、取其首上之冕、臂上之釧、攜至我主前、

“ So I stood beside him and killed him, because I knew that after he had fallen he could not survive. And I took the crown that was on his head and the band on his arm and have brought them here to my lord.”

So I stood over him and put him to death, since I knew that he couldn’t live in such a condition. Then I took the crown which was on his head and the bracelet which was on his arm. I have brought them here to my lord.”

亞庇米力速招持兵之士、謂之曰、恐人云、我為婦所戮、汝其拔刃刺我、士遂刺之而死。

爾度人若何、則見度亦如是、

祭司扶王子出、戴王冕、執律法之書、遂立為王、沐之以膏、鼓掌呼曰、願王千歲。

冕去我首、我蹈罪愆、深可悲痛兮。

亞多尼庇泄曰、昔我斷七十王手足之巨擘、使拾物於我几下、今上帝視我所行、報施於我。猶大族乃攜之至耶路撒冷、死焉。○

獲敵王之冕、重千五百兩、鑄以兼金、飾以寶石、人置於大闢首。邑中貨財、獲之甚多。

王諭多益曰、汝擊祭司。以東人多益遂擊祭司、當日殺衣枲公服者八十五人。

謂持兵之士曰、汝其拔刃刺我、恐未受割者刺我、加以狎侮。持兵之士懼甚、不敢奉命、掃羅觸刃而死。持兵之士見掃羅已死、亦觸刃偕亡。
