Look up to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and its inhabitants will die like gnats. But My salvation will last forever, and My righteousness will never be shattered.

Therefore be alert, since you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.But know this: If the homeowner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into.

Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. But if you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I will come against you.

as you wait for and earnestly desire the coming of the day of God. The heavens will be on fire and be dissolved because of it, and the elements will melt with the heat.

All the heavenly bodies will dissolve. The skies will roll up like a scroll, and their stars will all wither as leaves wither on the vine, and foliage on the fig tree.

Blow the horn in Zion; sound the alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the residents of the land tremble, for the Day of the Lord is coming; in fact, it is near—

they will perish, but You remain. They will all wear out like clothing;You will roll them up like a cloak, and they will be changed like a robe. But You are the same, and Your years will never end.

as you have partially understood us— that we are your reason for pride, as you are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.

and He has kept, with eternal chains in darkness for the judgment of the great day, the angels who did not keep their own position but deserted their proper dwelling.
