因這理由，我提醒你：要把神的恩賜再如火挑旺起來；這恩賜是藉著我的按手，在你裡面的。

所以，雖然你們已經知道這些事，又在你們已有的真理上得了堅固，我還是要不斷地提醒你們。我認為，只要我還在這帳篷裡，就理當用提醒的話來激發你們，因為我知道我脫離這帳篷的時候快到了，就像我們的主耶穌基督也曾向我指明的。我也要努力，使你們在我離世以後，時常想起這些事。

不要輕易給人按手，也不要在別人的罪孽上有份，要保守自己純潔。

耶穌基督的使徒彼得，致那些蒙揀選，分散在本都、加拉太、卡帕多細亞、亞細亞、比提尼亞寄居的人，就是按照父神的預知，藉著聖靈分別為聖，以致順從耶穌基督，又蒙他寶血所灑的人：願恩典與平安多多地加給你們！

你們既然藉著順從真理，使自己的靈魂純潔，以致有了不虛假的弟兄之愛，就應當以潔淨的心，彼此熱切地相愛。

神必然善待以色列，善待那些心裡純潔的人。

就是雙手清白、心裡純潔的人，他的心不傾向虛妄，他也不起假誓。

心裡潔淨的人是蒙福的，因為他們將看見神。

我先前說過了，現在雖然我不在你們那裡，還要像第二次在你們那裡的時候一樣，預先警告那些從前犯了罪的人和所有其餘的人：我如果再來，不會顧惜！
