惟主知拯救虔敬之人、脫於苦難、而留不義之人、待審判之日受刑、

觀此可見天主固知何以脫善人於危難、而將惡人留待審判之日、以受顯罰。

if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.

Since all this is true, then the Lord knows how to save godly people. He knows how to keep them safe in times of testing. The Lord also knows how to keep ungodly people under guard. He will do so until the day they will be judged and punished.

那臨到了你們的試煉、無非是人類所受得了的。上帝是可信可靠，他必不讓你們受試煉、過於你們所能受的；他乃是要連同試煉、開造出路來，使你們能擔受得起。

永恆主的眼向着義人，他的耳側向他們的呼救。永恆主向行壞事的人板着臉，他必將他們被記念的遺跡從地上都剪除掉。人哀叫，永恆主便垂聽，援救他們脫離一切的患難。永恆主跟傷心的人相近，拯救心靈痛悔的人。義人多有禍患；但永恆主援救他脫離這一切；

你既執守了我堅忍之道，我也必保守你經過試驗的鐘點，就是必須臨到普天下，來試驗住在地上之人的。

是的，凡立志要在基督耶穌裏敬虔度生活的、都會遭受到逼迫的。

但現今的天和地呢、還是憑着那同一的話給火儲藏着保留着、等到審判的日子、不虔之人滅亡的日子。

亞當的七世孫以諾也指着這些人來傳神言說：『看哪，主帶着他千千萬萬的聖者來臨，對一切人行審判，將一切不虔者以不虔方式所行一切不虔的事定了罪，又將不虔和犯重大罪的人所說一切頂撞他的剛愎話定了罪。』

他為我們把自己獻出，好贖放我們脫離一切不法之行為，並潔淨我們做子民、歸他自己為產業，在好事上熱心。

因為我們眾人都必須在基督的審判臺前顯露出來，叫各人、照他所習行的、或好或壞、得回由身體所作的事。所以我們既曉得主是可畏懼的，便勸人相信。我們在上帝面前顯然無隱；我盼望在你們的良知裏也顯然無隱。

永恆主所造的各適其用；連惡人、也是為了禍患日子而有的。

上帝既不愛惜犯了罪的天使，反而給丟在地獄，送到幽冥的坑子裏，拘留着等候審判。

你六次遭難，他都必援救你；就是七次，禍患也不會觸害着你。

然而你竟依順你的剛愎和不悔改的心、為自己積聚着上帝的義怒、於上帝義怒的日子，就是上帝公義的刑罰顯示出來的日子；

要知道永恆主已分別堅貞之士歸他自己我向他呼求時、永恆主必聽我。

就是壞人當災難的日子得存留，當上帝震怒的時日得送終。

永恆主啊，求你拯救，因為堅貞之愛斷絕了，人類間的忠信都不見了。

為這緣故、一切堅貞之士在窘迫時都當向你禱告；大水泛溢時，那水不會觸害着他。
