昔天使犯罪、天主亦未惜之、投於地獄、縛於幽暗中、以待審判、

昔者天神之干罪也、天主且毅然投之地獄、囚之冥府、以待審判。

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment;

Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.The great dragon was hurled down— that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (niv)

If God places no trust in his servants, if he charges his angels with error, (niv)

“ What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted.“ Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” (niv)

The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. (niv)

The Lord will never be willing to forgive them; his wrath and zeal will burn against them. All the curses written in this book will fall on them, and the Lord will blot out their names from under heaven. (niv)

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (niv)

He shouted at the top of his voice,“ What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!” (niv)

if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; (niv)
