他們認識了正義之路以後，若從所傳授給他們的聖誡上退轉下去，那倒不如沒有認識過好啊。

他们晓得义路，竟背弃了传给他们的圣命，倒不如不晓得为妙。

It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.

Suppose they had not known the way of godliness. This would have been better than to know godliness and then turn away from it. The way of godliness is the sacred command passed on to them.

For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

所以人若知道該行善，卻不去行，這在他就是罪了。

因為人既儘一次蒙了光照，又嘗過屬天之白白的恩，而有分於聖靈，嘗過上帝之話語多麼美好，又嘗過來世之能力，若背離了正道，要叫他們再復新而悔改、是不可能的，因為他們已在自己身上把上帝的兒子重釘十字架，使他公然被羞辱了。

但那僕人若知道主人的意思，卻不順着他的意思準備着，就必多受打。

義人呢，義人若轉離他的義而行不公道的事，當我將絆腳物放在他面前時，他就必死；因你沒有警告他，他就死在他的罪中，他素來所行的義遂不被記念，但流他血的罪、我卻要從你手裏追討。

所以律法是聖的，誡命也是聖的，是義的，又是善的。

耶穌對他們說：『你們如果瞎了眼，就沒有罪了；但如今你們說「我們能看見」；那你們的罪就還存在着。

剪除那些退轉而不跟從永恆主的，那些不尋求永恆主、不求問他的。』

我若沒有來對他們講話，他們就沒有罪；如今呢、他們的罪是無可推諉的了。

白頭髮是尊榮之華冠；這在公義之道路上才能得着。

你們原知道、我們憑藉着主耶穌、曾將甚麼囑咐的話傳給你們。

因為約翰引着義路到你們這裏來，你們不信他；收稅人和妓女倒信他。你們看了之後，還是沒有後悔而去信他。

他口中的話是奸惡和詭詐；他跟明智和善行已經斷絕。他在床上圖謀着奸惡，在不善的路上站定了立場，並不棄絕壞事。

在公義的路徑上有生命；可憎惡的道路引到早死。

我看見她被玷污了：她們姐妹兩個人都同走一條路。

至於那偏行彎曲路的人、願永恆主將他們跟作孽的人一起帶走。願平安興隆歸於以色列。

你呢、迦伯農啊！難道你要被高舉到天上麼？你必被降下到陰間哪！因為在你中間所行過的異能，若行在所多瑪，它還可以存到今日。然而我告訴你們，當審判的日子、所多瑪地方所受的、必比你還容易受呢！』
