因为认识了义的道路以后，背离那交托给他们的神圣诫命，对他们来说，倒不如不认识还好。

他们晓得义路，竟背弃了传给他们的圣命，倒不如不晓得为妙。

他们知道义路，竟背弃了传授给他们那神圣的诫命，倒不如不知道为妙。

他们明知道正路，却背弃了传给他们的神圣诫命，这样倒不如不知道的好。

既然认识了义路，竟又背弃传给他们的圣诫命，对他们来说，倒不如不认识好得多了。

他們認識了正義之路以後，若從所傳授給他們的聖誡上退轉下去，那倒不如沒有認識過好啊。

因為認識了義的道路以後，背離那交託給他們的神聖誡命，對他們來說，倒不如不認識還好。

蓋未識義路、較識之而背所受之聖誡猶愈也、

既識道矣、猶棄所受之聖命、孰若不識道義之為美、

既識義道、竟背所受之聖命、莫若不識之為美、

蓋與其知道而背命、孰若初未聞道之為愈乎？

It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.

Suppose they had not known the way of godliness. This would have been better than to know godliness and then turn away from it. The way of godliness is the sacred command passed on to them.

For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.

For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy command delivered to them.

所以，那知道该行美善的事而不去行的，对他来说，这就是罪了。

原来，如果有人蒙过一次光照、尝过属天恩赐的滋味、曾经与圣灵有份、尝过神美善的话语和将要来临之世代的权能，却背弃了真理，就不可能再次更新以至于悔改了。因为他们亲自把神的儿子再次钉上十字架，公然羞辱他。

那知道主人的意思，却没有预备，也不照着主人的意思去做的奴仆，将会受很多鞭打；

因此，律法是神圣的，诫命也是神圣、公义、美善的。

耶稣对他们说：“如果你们是瞎眼的，就没有罪了。但如今你们说‘我们能看见’，所以你们的罪仍然存在。

如果我没有来，也没有教导他们，他们就没有罪；但如今，他们的罪无可推诿了。

白发是荣耀的冠冕，在公义的道路上必能得着。

因为你们知道，我们藉着主耶稣所传给你们的是什么吩咐。

因为约翰来到你们这里指明义的道路，你们不相信他，而那些税吏和妓女们却相信了他。你们虽然看见了，后来还是没有悔改去相信他。

他口中的话语充满奸恶和欺诈，他不再有智慧，也不再行善。他在床上就图谋作恶，定意行不善之道，不拒绝恶事。”

公义的路途上有生命，在它的道上没有死亡。

至于那些偏行歪路的人，耶和华必把他们与作恶的人一同除去。愿平安临到以色列！

而你——迦百农啊，你将被高举到天上吗？不，你将下到阴间。因为在你中间行过的神迹，如果行在所多玛，它就会存留到今天。不过我告诉你们：在那审判的日子，所多玛之地所受的，将要比你还容易受呢！”
