主對我如此說：「你去設立守望者，讓他報告他所看見的。他會看見一對一對騎着馬的軍隊，又看見驢隊，駱駝隊，他要留心聽，仔細地聽。」他如獅子般吼叫：「主啊，我白天常站在瞭望樓，徹夜立在我的瞭望臺。」看哪，有一對一對騎着馬的軍隊前來。他就回應說：「巴比倫傾倒了！傾倒了！他把巴比倫神明的一切雕刻偶像都打碎在地上了。」

無論進哪一家，先要說：『願這一家平安。』那裏若有當得平安的人，你們所求的平安就必臨到那家，不然，將歸還你們。

「人子啊，你要吩咐本國的百姓，對他們說：我使刀劍臨到哪一國，哪一國的百姓從他們中間選立一人，作為守望者。守望者見刀劍臨到那地，若吹角警戒百姓，有人聽見角聲卻不受警戒，刀劍來除滅了他，這人的血必歸到自己頭上。他聽見角聲，不受警戒，他的血必歸到自己身上；他若受警戒，就救了自己的命。倘若守望者見刀劍臨到，卻不吹角，以致百姓未受警戒，刀劍來殺了他們中間的一個人，這人雖然因自己的罪孽而死，我卻要從守望者的手裏討他的血債。「人子啊，我照樣立你作以色列家的守望者；你要聽我口中的話，替我警戒他們。我對惡人說：『惡人哪，你必要死！』你若不開口警戒惡人，使他離開所行的道，這惡人必因自己的罪孽而死，我卻要從你手裏討他的血債。但是你，你若警戒惡人，叫他離棄所行的道，他仍不轉離，他必因自己的罪孽而死，你卻救了自己的命。」

王又派第二個騎兵去。這人到了他們那裏，說：「王如此說：『平安嗎？』」耶戶說：「平安不平安跟你有甚麼關係呢？轉身跟在我後面吧！」

耶路撒冷啊，我在你城牆上設立守望者，他們晝夜不停地呼喊。呼求耶和華的啊，你們不要歇息，

所以我今日向你們作證，你們中間無論何人死亡，罪不在我。因為神一切的旨意，我並沒有退縮不傳給你們的。聖靈立你們作全羣的監督，你們就當為自己謹慎，也為全羣謹慎，牧養神的教會，就是他用自己血所買來的。我知道，在我離開以後必有兇暴的豺狼進入你們中間，不顧惜羊羣。就是你們中間也必有人起來，說悖謬的話，要引誘門徒跟從他們。所以你們要警醒，記念我三年之久，晝夜不斷地流淚勸戒你們各人。

論度瑪的默示。有人聲從西珥呼喊：「守望的啊，夜裏如何？守望的啊，夜裏如何？」守望者說：「早晨來到，黑夜將臨。你們若要問，問吧，也可以回頭再來。」

大衛正坐在內外城門之間。守望的人上到城牆，在城門的頂上舉目觀看，看哪，有一個人獨自跑來。

以色列的守望者都瞎了眼，沒有知識；都是啞狗，不會吠叫，只知做夢，躺臥，貪睡，

押沙龍逃跑了。守望的年輕人舉目觀看，看哪，有許多人從何羅念山坡的路上來。
