初約藍率以色列族眾、守基列之喇末、攻亞蘭王哈泄、約藍被傷、則歸耶斯烈、而療其疾、寧示孫約沙法子耶戶叛約藍、告從者曰、若愜爾意、毋許人出、以洩此事、為耶斯烈人所知。

如是、寧示孫約沙法子耶戶叛約蘭、先是約蘭與以色列軍眾、緣亞蘭王哈薛之故、在基列之拉末戍守、

So Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram.( Now Joram and all Israel had been defending Ramoth Gilead against Hazael king of Aram,

Jehu was the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi. Jehu made plans against Joram. During that time Joram and Israel’s whole army had been guarding Ramoth Gilead. They had been guarding it against Hazael, the king of Aram.

Thus Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram with all Israel had been on guard at Ramoth-gilead against Hazael king of Syria,

So Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, led a conspiracy against King Joram.( Now Joram had been with the army at Ramoth gilead, defending Israel against the forces of King Hazael of Aram.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. Joram and all Israel had been at Ramoth-gilead on guard against King Hazael of Aram.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. Now Joram with all Israel was defending Ramoth gilead against Hazael king of Aram,

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. Joram and all Israel had been at Ramoth-gilead on guard against Hazael king of Aram.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. Now Joram had been in Ramoth Gilead with the whole Israelite army, guarding against an invasion by King Hazael of Syria.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram was keeping Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria;

他與亞哈的兒子約蘭同往基列的拉末去，與亞蘭王哈薛交戰。亞蘭人打傷了約蘭，

以色列王對臣僕說：「你們不知道基列的拉末是屬我們的嗎？我們豈可不採取行動，把它從亞蘭王手裏奪回來呢？」

次日早晨，耶戶出來，站着對眾百姓說：「你們都是公義的！看哪，我背叛了我的主人，把他殺了，但這所有的人又是誰殺的呢？

耶戶進了城門，耶洗別說：「殺主人的心利啊，平安嗎？」

以薩迦人亞希雅的兒子巴沙背叛拿答，在非利士人的基比頓殺了他，那時拿答和以色列眾人正圍困基比頓。

他的大臣心利，就是管理他一半戰車的軍官背叛他。當他在得撒，在王宮的管家亞雜家裏喝醉的時候，

哈薛說：「我主為甚麼哭？」他說：「因為我知道你必虐待以色列人，用火焚燒他們的堡壘，用刀殺死他們的壯丁，摔死他們的嬰孩，剖開他們的孕婦。」哈薛說：「僕人算甚麼，不過是一條狗，怎麼能行這大事呢？」以利沙說：「耶和華指示我，你必作亞蘭王。」哈薛離開以利沙，回到他主人那裏。主人對他說：「以利沙對你說了甚麼？」他說：「他告訴我你必能好。」次日，哈薛拿被子浸在水中，蒙住王的臉，王就死了。於是哈薛篡了他的位。

軍兵在營中聽說心利已經背叛，殺了王，以色列眾人當日就在營中立暗利元帥作以色列王。

耶和華的話臨到哈拿尼的兒子耶戶先知，責備巴沙和他的家，因他行耶和華眼中看為惡的一切事，以他手所做的惹耶和華發怒，像耶羅波安的家一樣，又因他殺了耶羅波安全家。

烏西雅的兒子約坦第二十年，以拉的兒子何細亞背叛利瑪利的兒子比加，擊殺他，篡了他的位。
