初約藍率以色列族眾、守基列之喇末、攻亞蘭王哈泄、約藍被傷、則歸耶斯烈、而療其疾、寧示孫約沙法子耶戶叛約藍、告從者曰、若愜爾意、毋許人出、以洩此事、為耶斯烈人所知。

如是、寧示孫約沙法子耶戶叛約蘭、先是約蘭與以色列軍眾、緣亞蘭王哈薛之故、在基列之拉末戍守、

So Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram.( Now Joram and all Israel had been defending Ramoth Gilead against Hazael king of Aram,

Jehu was the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi. Jehu made plans against Joram. During that time Joram and Israel’s whole army had been guarding Ramoth Gilead. They had been guarding it against Hazael, the king of Aram.

Thus Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram with all Israel had been on guard at Ramoth-gilead against Hazael king of Syria,

So Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, led a conspiracy against King Joram.( Now Joram had been with the army at Ramoth gilead, defending Israel against the forces of King Hazael of Aram.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. Joram and all Israel had been at Ramoth-gilead on guard against King Hazael of Aram.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. Now Joram had been in Ramoth Gilead with the whole Israelite army, guarding against an invasion by King Hazael of Syria.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram was keeping Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria;

亚哈谢与亚哈的儿子约兰往基列的拉末，同亚兰王哈薛交战；亚兰人击伤了约兰。

以色列王对他的臣仆说：“你们知道吗？基列的拉末原属于我们，我们怎可静坐不动，不把它从亚兰王的手中夺回来呢？”

第二天早上的时候，耶户出来，站着对众民说：“你们都是无罪的，看哪，是我自己背叛了我的主人，把他杀了，但这所有的人又是谁击杀的呢？

耶户进入城门的时候，她说：“平安吗，杀主的心利？”

以萨迦家族亚希雅的儿子巴沙密谋背叛拿答。拿答和以色列众人正在围攻非利士地的基比顿的时候，巴沙在基比顿把拿答杀了。

他的臣仆心利，就是统率他一半战车的军长，密谋背叛他。那时他在得撒，在管理得撒王家的亚杂的家喝醉了，

哈薛说：“我主为什么哭起来了？”他回答：“因为我已知道你要对以色列人施行的恶事。他们的城堡，你要放火焚烧；他们的年轻人，你要用刀杀死；他们的婴孩，你要摔死；他们的孕妇，你要剖开。”哈薛说：“你仆人算什么？不过是一条狗罢了；怎可以作这样的大事呢？”以利沙说：“耶和华已指示我，你要作王统治亚兰。”于是他离开以利沙，回到他主人那里。便．哈达对他说：“以利沙对你说了些什么呢？”他说：“他对我说：‘你一定痊愈的。’”第二天，哈薛拿被窝浸在水里，然后蒙住便．哈达的面，他就死了；于是哈薛接续他作王。

正在安营的众人听说：“心利已经密谋背叛，又击杀了王。”于是以色列众人在那一天，就在营中立了军长暗利作以色列王。

再者，耶和华的话藉着哈尼拿的儿子耶户先知指责巴沙和他的家，是因为他像耶罗波安的家一样，行了耶和华看为恶的事，以他手所作的惹耶和华发怒，又因为他击杀了耶罗波安的家。

乌西雅的儿子约坦在位第二十年，以拉的儿子何细亚阴谋背叛利玛利的儿子比加，击打他，把他杀死，接续他作王。
