Elisha the prophet sent for a man from the group of the prophets. Elisha said to him,“ Tuck your coat into your belt. Take this bottle of olive oil with you. Go to Ramoth Gilead.

Then Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets and said to him,“ Tie up your garments, and take this flask of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead.

Meanwhile, Elisha the prophet had summoned a member of the group of prophets.“ Get ready to travel,” he told him,“ and take this flask of olive oil with you. Go to Ramoth gilead,

The prophet Elisha called one of the sons of the prophets and said,“ Tuck your mantle under your belt, take this flask of oil with you, and go to Ramoth-gilead.

Now Elisha the prophet summoned one of the sons of the prophets and said to him,“ Get ready and take this flask of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth gilead.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him,“ Get yourself ready, take this flask of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this vial of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth- gilead.

The prophet Elisha called one of the sons of the prophets and said,“ Tuck your mantle under your belt, take this flask of oil with you, and go to Ramoth-gilead.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:

Now Elisha the prophet summoned a member of the prophetic guild and told him,“ Tuck your robes into your belt, take this container of olive oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him,“ Put your belt on your waist, take this vial of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him, saying,“ Has not the Lord anointed you ruler over his inheritance?

Elisha said to Gehazi,“ Tuck your cloak into your belt, take my staff in your hand and run. Don’t greet anyone you meet, and if anyone greets you, do not answer. Lay my staff on the boy’s face.”

The Lord said to Samuel,“ How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king.”

Ahaziah went with Joram son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead. The Arameans wounded Joram;so King Joram returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds the Arameans had inflicted on him at Ramoth in his battle with Hazael king of Aram. Then Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to Jezreel to see Joram son of Ahab, because he had been wounded.

Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the sacred tent and anointed Solomon. Then they sounded the trumpet and all the people shouted,“ Long live King Solomon!”

The power of the Lord came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.

“ Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them.

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.

So he asked Jehoshaphat,“ Will you go with me to fight against Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel,“ I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

“ Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning,like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him.It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them.

You saw with your own eyes what the Lord did at Baal Peor. The Lord your God destroyed from among you everyone who followed the Baal of Peor,

The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha,“ Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”

The company of the prophets at Bethel came out to Elisha and asked,“ Do you know that the Lord is going to take your master from you today?”“ Yes, I know,” Elisha replied,“ so be quiet.”

The company of the prophets said to Elisha,“ Look, the place where we meet with you is too small for us.Let us go to the Jordan, where each of us can get a pole; and let us build a place there for us to meet.” And he said,“ Go.”Then one of them said,“ Won’t you please come with your servants?”“ I will,” Elisha replied.

And the Lord said,‘ Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’“ One suggested this, and another that.

By the word of the Lord one of the company of the prophets said to his companion,“ Strike me with your weapon,” but he refused.

Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.
