Then the man of God said,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there and made the iron float.

神人问说：“掉在哪里了？”他将那地方指给以利沙看。以利沙砍了一根木头，抛在水里，斧头就漂上来了。

上帝僕曰、墜於何所、遂示其處、則斬木投水、鐵上浮、

神人曰、墮於何處、遂以其處示之、以利沙斬片木投於水、斧鐵即浮上、

The man of God asked,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float.

The man of God asked,“ Where did the blade fall?” He showed Elisha the place. Then Elisha cut a stick and threw it there. That made the iron blade float.

“ Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface.

Then the man of God asked,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, the man of God cut a piece of wood, threw it there, and made the iron float.

Then the man of God said,“ Where did it fall?” And when he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there, and made the iron float.

So the man of God said,“ Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.

And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he showed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither, and made the iron to swim.

The prophet asked,“ Where did it drop in?” When he showed him the spot, Elisha cut off a branch, threw it in at that spot, and made the ax head float.

The man of God asked,“ Where did it fall?” He showed him the place. He cut down a stick, threw it in there, and made the iron float.

Then he went to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said,“ Thus says the Lord, I have healed this water; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it.”

And he cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the Lord made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them,

He said,“ Then bring flour.” And he threw it into the pot and said,“ Pour some out for the men, that they may eat.” And there was no harm in the pot.

Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mudand said to him,“ Go, wash in the pool of Siloam”( which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.

And he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village, and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his hands on him, he asked him,“ Do you see anything?”And he looked up and said,“ I see people, but they look like trees, walking.”Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

And taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and after spitting touched his tongue.And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him,“ Ephphatha,” that is,“ Be opened.”
