大馬色之河、亞罷拿與法珥法、較以色列諸水、豈不尤佳乎、我不可浴於彼、而得潔乎、遂忿然反身而去、

大馬色之河、亞巴拿與法法、較之以色列地之水、豈非尤善、濯身於彼、豈不能成潔乎。遂怒欲歸。

他们到了约旦河，脚一入水（原来约旦河水在收割的日子涨过两岸），那从上往下流的水便在极远之地、撒拉但旁的亚当城那里停住，立起成垒；那往亚拉巴的海，就是盐海，下流的水全然断绝。于是百姓在耶利哥的对面过去了。抬耶和华约柜的祭司在约旦河中的干地上站定，以色列众人都从干地上过去，直到国民尽都过了约旦河。

乃缦说：“你若不肯受，请将两骡子驮的土赐给仆人。从今以后，仆人必不再将燔祭或平安祭献与别神，只献给耶和华。

他用以利亚身上掉下来的外衣打水，说：“耶和华，以利亚的神在哪里呢？”打水之后，水也左右分开，以利沙就过来了。

那时，耶稣从加利利的拿撒勒来，在约旦河里受了约翰的洗。

“那日，必给大卫家和耶路撒冷的居民开一个泉源，洗除罪恶与污秽。”

轻易发怒的，行事愚妄；设立诡计的，被人恨恶。

他带我回到殿门，见殿的门槛下有水往东流出（原来殿面朝东）。这水从槛下，由殿的右边，在祭坛的南边往下流。他带我出北门，又领我从外边转到朝东的外门，见水从右边流出。他手拿准绳往东出去的时候，量了一千肘，使我趟过水，水到踝子骨。他又量了一千肘，使我趟过水，水就到膝；再量了一千肘，使我趟过水，水便到腰；又量了一千肘，水便成了河，使我不能趟过。因为水势涨起，成为可洑的水，不可趟的河。他对我说：“人子啊，你看见了什么？”他就带我回到河边。我回到河边的时候，见在河这边与那边的岸上有极多的树木。他对我说：“这水往东方流去，必下到亚拉巴，直到海。所发出来的水必流入盐海，使水变甜。

人有见识就不轻易发怒；宽恕人的过失便是自己的荣耀。

那日，必有活水从耶路撒冷出来，一半往东海流，一半往西海流；冬夏都是如此。

以利亚将自己的外衣卷起来，用以打水，水就左右分开，二人走干地而过。
