基哈西告訴王以利沙如何使死人復活，看哪，以利沙所救活的孩子的母親正為自己的房屋田地來哀求王。基哈西說：「我主我王，這就是那婦人，這是她的兒子，就是以利沙所救活的。」

有人正在埋葬死人，看哪，他們看見一羣人來，就把死人拋在以利沙的墳墓裏，逃跑了。死人一碰到以利沙的骸骨，就活過來，用腳站了起來。

彼得叫她們都出去，然後跪下禱告，轉身對着屍體說：「大比大，起來！」她就睜開眼睛，看見彼得，就坐了起來。

耶和華聽了以利亞的呼求，孩子的生命歸回給他，他就活了。

於是耶穌進前來，按着槓，抬的人就站住了。耶穌說：「年輕人，我吩咐你，起來！」那死人就坐了起來，開始說話，耶穌就把他交給他的母親。

以利沙曾對他救活的孩子的母親說：「你和你的全家要起身，往你可住的地方去住，因為耶和華已令饑荒降在這地七年。」

說了這些話，他大聲呼叫說：「拉撒路，出來！」那死了的人就出來了，手腳都裹着布，臉上包着頭巾。耶穌對他們說：「解開他，讓他走！」

她的靈魂就回來了，她立刻起來。耶穌吩咐給她東西吃。
