But when she reached the prophet on the mountain, she grabbed hold of his feet. Gehazi came near to push her away, but the prophet said,“ Leave her alone, for she is very upset. The LORD has kept the matter hidden from me; he didn’t tell me about it.”

When she reached the man of God at the mountain, she took hold of his feet. Gehazi came over to push her away, but the man of God said,“ Leave her alone! She is in bitter distress, but the Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me why.”

She came to the man of God at the mountain. Then she took hold of his feet. Gehazi came over to push her away. But the man of God said,“ Leave her alone! She is suffering terribly. But the Lord hasn’t told me the reason for it. He has hidden it from me.”

And when she came to the mountain to the man of God, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came to push her away. But the man of God said,“ Leave her alone, for she is in bitter distress, and the Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me.”

But when she came to the man of God at the mountain, she fell to the ground before him and caught hold of his feet. Gehazi began to push her away, but the man of God said,“ Leave her alone. She is deeply troubled, but the Lord has not told me what it is.”

When she came up to the man of God at the mountain, she clung to his feet. Gehazi came to push her away, but the man of God said,“ Leave her alone— she is in severe anguish, and the LORD has hidden it from me. He hasn’t told me.”

But she came to the man of God at the hill and took hold of his feet. And Gehazi came up to push her away, but the man of God said,“ Leave her alone, for her soul is troubled within her; and the Lord has concealed it from me and has not informed me.”

Now when she came to the man of God at the hill, she caught him by the feet, but Gehazi came near to push her away. But the man of God said,“ Let her alone; for her soul is in deep distress, and the Lord has hidden it from me, and has not told me.”

And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came near to thrust her away; but the man of God said, Let her alone: for her soul is vexed within her; and Jehovah hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.

When she came up to the man of God at the mountain, she clung to his feet. Gehazi came to push her away, but the man of God said,“ Leave her alone— she is in severe anguish, and the Lord has hidden it from me. He hasn’t told me.”

And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul[ is] vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid[ it] from me, and hath not told me.

Now people were bringing little children to him for him to touch, but the disciples scolded those who brought them.

So she went to visit the prophet at Mount Carmel. When he saw her at a distance, he said to his servant Gehazi,“ Look, it’s the Shunammite woman.

A person’s spirit sustains him through sickness– but who can bear a crushed spirit?

“ I am weary of my life; I will complain without restraint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

Nathan replied to the king,“ You should go and do whatever you have in mind, for the LORD is with you.”

One of his advisers said,“ No, my master, O king. The prophet Elisha who lives in Israel keeps telling the king of Israel the things you say in your bedroom.”

But he did not answer her a word. Then his disciples came and begged him,“ Send her away, because she keeps on crying out after us.”

Then the LORD said,“ Should I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?

She was very upset as she prayed to the LORD, and she was weeping uncontrollably.

Certainly the sovereign LORD does nothing without first revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

The heart knows its own bitterness, and with its joy no one else can share.

But Jesus met them, saying,“ Greetings!” They came to him, held on to his feet and worshiped him.

The crowd scolded them to get them to be quiet. But they shouted even more loudly,“ Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”

I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father.

But Jesus said,“ Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a good service for me.

Now at that very moment his disciples came back. They were shocked because he was speaking with a woman. However, no one said,“ What do you want?” or“ Why are you speaking with her?”

But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples( the one who was going to betray him) said,“ Why wasn’t this oil sold for three hundred silver coins and the money given to the poor?”( Now Judas said this not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief. As keeper of the money box, he used to steal what was put into it.)So Jesus said,“ Leave her alone. She has kept it for the day of my burial.

As she stood behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. She wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and anointed them with the perfumed oil.
