Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord of armies lives, before whom I stand, if I did not respect Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look at you nor see you.

以利沙说：“我指着所事奉永生的万军之耶和华起誓，我若不看犹大王约沙法的情面，必不理你，不睬你。

以利沙说：“我指着所事奉永生的万军之耶和华起誓，我若不看犹大王约沙法的情面，必不理你，不睬你。

以利沙说：“我事奉的是永活的万军之耶和华，我凭祂起誓，若不是看犹大王约沙法的情面，我决不理你，也不会见你。

以利沙说：“我指着我所事奉永活的万军耶和华起誓，若不是看犹大王约沙法的情面，我根本不会理你，看也不看你。

以利沙說：「我指着所事奉永生的萬軍耶和華起誓，我若不看猶大王約沙法的情面，必不理你，不顧你。

以利沙說：「我指着所事奉永生的萬軍之耶和華起誓，我若不看猶大王約沙法的情面，必不理你，不睬你。

以利沙說：「我指着所事奉永生的萬軍之耶和華起誓，我若不看猶大王約沙法的情面，必不理你，不睬你。

以利沙說：「我事奉的是永活的萬軍之耶和華，我憑祂起誓，若不是看猶大王約沙法的情面，我決不理你，也不會見你。

以利沙說：“我指著我所事奉永活的萬軍耶和華起誓，若不是看猶大王約沙法的情面，我根本不會理你，看也不看你。

以利沙說：『我指着我侍立在他面前的永活萬軍永恆主來起誓，我若不是看猶大王約沙法的情面，我就不理你、不看你。

以利沙曰、我指所事萬軍之主、維生之耶和華而誓、我若不視猶大王約沙法在此、必不顧爾、不見爾、

以利沙曰、我指所事萬有之主耶和華以誓、惟猶大王約沙法、我眷顧之、若祇爾一人、豈得蒙我眷顧乎。

以利沙曰、我指所事萬有之永生主而誓、我若不顧猶大王約沙法之面、我必不視爾、不顧爾、

Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord Almighty lives, whom I serve, if I did not have respect for the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not pay any attention to you.

Elisha said,“ I serve the Lord who rules over all. You can be sure that he lives. And you can be just as sure that I have respect for Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t pay any attention to you.

And Elisha said,“ As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, were it not that I have regard for Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would neither look at you nor see you.

Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord Almighty lives, whom I serve, I wouldn’t even bother with you except for my respect for King Jehoshaphat of Judah.

Elisha responded,“ By the life of the LORD of Armies, before whom I stand: If I did not have respect for King Jehoshaphat of Judah, I wouldn’t look at you; I would not take notice of you.

And Elisha said,“ As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you, nor see you.

And Elisha said, As Jehovah of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.

Elisha responded,“ As the Lord of Hosts lives, I stand before Him. If I did not have respect for King Jehoshaphat of Judah, I would not look at you; I wouldn’t take notice of you.

And Elisha said,[ As] the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.

Elisha said,“ As certainly as the LORD who rules over all lives( whom I serve), if I did not respect King Jehoshaphat of Judah, I would not pay attention to you or acknowledge you.

Elisha said,“ As Yahweh of Armies lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I respect the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you.

Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall certainly be neither dew nor rain during these years, except by my word.”

But he said,“ As surely as the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will accept nothing.” And he urged him to accept it, but he refused.

But there is some good in you, for you have removed the Asheroth from the land and you have set your heart to seek God.”So Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem and went out again among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and brought them back to the Lord, the God of their fathers.

A despicable person is despised in his eyes, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He takes an oath to his own detriment, and does not change;

And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the example of his father David’s earlier days and did not seek the Baals,but sought the God of his father, followed His commandments, and did not act as Israel did.So the Lord established the kingdom in his control, and all Judah gave tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had great riches and honor.He took great pride in the ways of the Lord, and again removed the high places and the Asherim from Judah.Then in the third year of his reign he sent his officials, Ben hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah;and with them the Levites, Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, the Levites; and with them the priests Elishama and Jehoram.They taught in Judah, having the Book of the Law of the Lord with them; and they went throughout the cities of Judah and taught among the people.

But Samuel said to Saul,“ I will not return with you; for you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel.”Then Samuel turned to go, but Saul grasped the edge of his robe, and it tore off.So Samuel said to him,“ The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to your neighbor, who is better than you.Also the Glory of Israel will not lie nor change His mind; for He is not a man, that He would change His mind.”Then Saul said,“ I have sinned; but please honor me now before the elders of my people and before all Israel, and go back with me, so that I may worship the Lord your God.”So Samuel went back following Saul, and Saul worshiped the Lord.

Then Ahab said to Elijah,“ Have you found me, enemy of mine?” And he answered,“ I have found you, because you have given yourself over to do evil in the sight of the Lord.

And they* sent their disciples to Him, along with the Herodians, saying,“ Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and do not care what anyone thinks; for You are not partial to anyone.

Then Daniel replied and said before the king,“ Keep your gifts for yourself or give your rewards to someone else; however, I will read the inscription to the king and make the interpretation known to him.O king, the Most High God granted sovereignty, greatness, honor, and majesty to Nebuchadnezzar your father.Now because of the greatness which He granted him, all the peoples, nations, and populations of all languages trembled and feared in his presence; whomever he wished, he killed, and whomever he wished, he spared alive; and whomever he wished he elevated, and whomever he wished he humbled.But when his heart was arrogant and his spirit became so overbearing that he behaved presumptuously, he was deposed from his royal throne, and his dignity was taken away from him.He was also driven away from mankind, and his heart was made like that of animals, and his dwelling place was with the wild donkeys. He was given grass to eat like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven, until he recognized that the Most High God is ruler over the realm of mankind, and that He sets over it whomever He wishes.Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this,but you have risen up against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives, and your concubines have been drinking wine out of them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see, nor hear, nor understand. But the God in whose hand are your life breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.

Now the Lord had said to Ahijah,“ Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to inquire of you about her son, because he is sick. You shall say such and such to her, for it will be when she arrives, that she is going to make herself unrecognizable.”So when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet coming in the doorway, he said,“ Come in, wife of Jeroboam; why do you make yourself unrecognizable? Nevertheless, I am sent to you with a harsh message.Go, say to Jeroboam,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says:“ Because I exalted you from among the people and made you leader over My people Israel,and tore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to you— yet you have not been like My servant David, who kept My commandments and followed Me with all his heart, to do only that which was right in My sight;you also have done more evil than all who were before you, and you have gone and made for yourself other gods and cast metal images to provoke Me to anger, and have thrown Me behind your back—therefore behold, I am bringing disaster on the house of Jeroboam, and I will eliminate from Jeroboam every male person, both bond and free in Israel, and I will make a clean sweep of the house of Jeroboam, just as one sweeps away dung until it is all gone.Anyone belonging to Jeroboam who dies in the city, the dogs will eat. And anyone who dies in the field, the birds of the sky will eat; for the Lord has spoken it.” ’Now you, arise, go to your house. When your feet enter the city the child will die.Then all Israel will mourn for him and bury him, for he alone of Jeroboam’s family will come to the grave, because in him something good was found toward the Lord God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.Moreover, the Lord will raise up for Himself a king over Israel who will eliminate the house of Jeroboam this day and from now on.“ For the Lord will strike Israel, just as a reed sways in the water; and He will uproot Israel from this good land which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the Lord to anger.He will give up Israel because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he committed and with which he misled Israel into sin.”Then Jeroboam’s wife arose and departed, and came to Tirzah. As she was entering the threshold of the house, the child died.Then all Israel buried him and mourned for him, in accordance with the word of the Lord which He had spoken through His servant Ahijah the prophet.

Now behold, I have made you today like a fortified city and like a pillar of iron and walls of bronze against the whole land, to the kings of Judah, to its leaders, to its priests, and to the people of the land.

Then Elijah said,“ As surely as the Lord of armies lives, before whom I stand, I will certainly present myself to him today.”
