约沙法说：“耶和华会借他说话。”于是以色列王、犹大王和以东王一起去见以利沙。

Jehoshaphat said,“ The word of the Lord is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

Jehoshaphat said,“ The Lord speaks through him.” So the king of Israel went down to see Elisha. Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom also went there.

Jehoshaphat said,“ Yes, the Lord speaks through him.” So the king of Israel, King Jehoshaphat of Judah, and the king of Edom went to consult with Elisha.

列王必做你的养父，王后必做你的褓姆。他们必向你俯伏下拜，舔你脚上的尘土。那时你便知道我是耶和华，信靠我的必不致失望。”

乃缦率领全体随从回到上帝的仆人那里，站在他面前说：“如今我才知道，除了以色列，普天下没有上帝。请你收下仆人的礼物。”

撒母耳渐渐长大，耶和华与他同在，使他所说的话没有一句落空。从但到别示巴，全以色列的人都知道撒母耳被立为耶和华的先知。耶和华继续在示罗显现，用自己的话启示撒母耳。撒母耳把耶和华的话传遍了以色列。

用它击打河水，说：“以利亚的上帝耶和华在哪里呢？”河水就左右分开，以利沙便过了河。耶利哥的先知们从远处看见他，就说：“以利亚的灵降在以利沙身上了。”他们就上前迎接，俯伏在他面前，

以利沙走到水源那里，把盐倒在水中说：“耶和华说，‘我洁净了这水，从此它不会再使人死亡，也不会再使土地贫瘠。’”

以利沙转身看着他们，奉耶和华的名咒诅他们。林中随即走出来两只母熊，咬死了其中的四十二个少年。以利沙从伯特利上了迦密山，又从迦密山回到撒玛利亚。

欺压你之人的子孙要向你下拜，藐视你的人要在你脚前跪拜。他们要称你为耶和华的城，以色列圣者的锡安。

看啊！我要使撒旦的同伙，就是那些假冒犹太人的说谎者，在你面前俯伏下拜，让他们知道你是我所疼爱的。

上帝的仆人以利沙听说以色列王撕裂了衣服，便派人去对王说：“你为什么撕裂衣服呢？让那人到我这里来，我要让他知道以色列有先知。”乃缦带领车辆和马匹到了以利沙的家，站在门口。
