On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

Nebuzaradan was an official of the king of Babylon. In fact, he was commander of the royal guard. He came to Jerusalem. It was in the 19th year that Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon. It was on the seventh day of the fifth month.

In the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month— that was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon— Nebuzaradan, the captain of the bodyguard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

On August 14 of that year, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard and an official of the Babylonian king, arrived in Jerusalem.

On the seventh day of the fifth month— which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon— Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guards, a servant of the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.

Now on the seventh day of the fifth month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguards, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month( which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem.

On the seventh day of the fifth month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, the commander of the guards, a servant of the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.

And in the fifth month, on the seventh[ day] of the month, which[ is] the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:

On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the royal guard who served the king of Babylon, arrived in Jerusalem.

Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

五月十日，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒第十九年，侍立在巴比伦王面前的护卫长尼布撒拉旦来到耶路撒冷。他放火焚烧耶和华的殿和王宫，以及耶路撒冷一切房屋，一切高大的房屋，他都放火烧了。跟随护卫长的迦勒底人全军拆毁了耶路撒冷周围所有的城墙。至于人民中最贫穷的、城中剩下的人民，和已经向巴比伦王投降的人，以及剩下的技工，护卫长尼布撒拉旦都掳了去。至于那地最贫穷的人，护卫长尼布撒拉旦把他们留下，去修理葡萄园和耕种田地。

护卫长尼布撒拉旦在拉玛释放了耶利米以后，从耶和华那里有话临到耶利米。耶利米被提出来的时候，还被铁链锁着，在所有从耶路撒冷和犹大被掳到巴比伦去的人中间。护卫长把耶利米提出来，对他说：“耶和华你的神曾说要降这灾祸在这地方；现在耶和华使灾祸临到，照他所说的行了；因为你们得罪了耶和华，没有听从他的话，所以这事才临到你们。我现在解开你手上的铁链。你若认为与我一同到巴比伦去好，就一起去，我必好好照顾你；你若认为与我一同到巴比伦去不好，就不必去。看，全地都在你面前，你认为去哪里好、哪里合宜，就到哪里去吧！”

地上的君王，以及世上所有的居民都不相信，会有任何敌人和仇敌攻进耶路撒冷的城门。

迦勒底人放火焚烧王宫和民房，又拆毁了耶路撒冷的城墙。城里剩下的人民，和那些已经向巴比伦王投降的人，以及其余的人民，都被护卫长尼布撒拉旦掳到巴比伦去。但护卫长尼布撒拉旦把民中一些一无所有的穷人留在犹大地，同时把葡萄园和田地分给他们。巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒提到耶利米，吩咐护卫长尼布撒拉旦说：“你把他带去，好好照顾他，切不可伤害他；他对你怎样说，你就给他照办。”于是护卫长尼布撒拉旦、大臣（“大臣”的本意不明确）尼布沙斯班、术士长（“术士长”的本意不明确）尼甲．沙利薛，以及巴比伦王所有的大臣都派人去，把耶利米从卫兵的院子里提出来，交给沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利，叫他带耶利米回家去。这样，耶利米就住在人民中间。

犹大王约雅斤被掳后第三十七年，就是巴比伦王以未．米罗达登基的那一年，十二月二十七日，他恩待（“恩待”原文作“使抬起头来”）犹大王约雅斤，把他从狱中领出来，

“万军之耶和华这样说：‘四月的禁食、五月的禁食、七月的禁食和十月的禁食都要变为犹大家欢喜快乐的日子和欢乐的节期。所以，你们要喜爱诚实与和平。’

犹大王约雅斤和他的母亲、众臣仆、众领袖，以及众太监，出城投降巴比伦王。巴比伦王于是捉住他。那时，是巴比伦王在位第八年。
