於是城破、王與諸戰士、由近王園兩城中之門、夜逃遁、迦勒底人在城四圍、王由平原平原或作亞拉巴下同而走、

Then the city wall was broken through, and the whole army fled at night through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden, though the Babylonians were surrounding the city. They fled toward the Arabah,

Then the Babylonians broke through the city wall. Judah’s whole army ran away at night. They went out through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden. They escaped even though the Babylonians surrounded the city. Judah’s army ran toward the Arabah Valley.

Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by the king’s garden, and the Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the Arabah.

Then a section of the city wall was broken down. Since the city was surrounded by the Babylonians, the soldiers waited for nightfall and escaped through the gate between the two walls behind the king’s garden. Then they headed toward the Jordan Valley.

四月九日、邑中饑甚、斯土之民絕糧、於是穴城、戰士由附近王囿、兩垣間之門出邑、夜遁、迦勒底人環城、眾向亞拉巴而走、迦勒底軍追王、及於耶利哥之平原、王軍潰散、迦勒底人執王、解至哈馬之利比拉、巴比倫王所、而審鞫之、巴比倫王戮西底家諸子、使之目睹、又在利比拉、戮猶大諸牧伯、抉西底家目、繫之以鏈、攜至巴比倫、下之於獄、迄於死日、○

使其因饑而瘦、因熱而敗、因苦而滅、害於獸齒、傷於蟲毒、外遭鋒刃、內受驚惶、少男幼女、乳子白叟、淪胥以亡、

治米斯巴者、各荷西子沙崙、修葺泉門、建門、作蓋、置扉、鎖楗俱備、復建近於王囿、西羅亞沼之垣、至大衛城之階、

其中之君、將乘昏夜、負荷而出、彼必穿垣、由此移物、亦必蒙面、蓋彼不得見斯土也、

我必敵爾、使見擊於敵前、憾爾者將制爾、無人追襲、爾亦遁逃、

西底家十一年四月九日、城破、巴比倫王之牧伯、尼甲沙利薛、三甲尼波、宦官長撒西金、博士長尼甲沙利薛、及巴比倫王其餘之牧伯、咸入、坐於中門、猶大王西底家、與諸戰士見之、遂夜遁、沿王囿、由兩垣間之門出邑、向亞拉巴而去、迦勒底軍旅追之、追及西底家於耶利哥平原、執之、攜至哈馬地之利比拉、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒所、而審鞫之、巴比倫王在利比拉、戮西底家諸子、使之目睹、亦戮猶大諸貴胄、抉西底家之目、縶之以鏈、欲攜至巴比倫、

若非其磐石鬻之、耶和華付之、則敵一焉能驅千、二焉能逐萬、

爾登其垣而毀之、惟勿盡毀、可除其枝、蓋非屬耶和華也、

耶和華必使爾為敵所敗、爾攻之也由一途、爾逃之也由七途、拋棄於天下萬國之中、

爾之孑遺、處於敵國、必使其心頹敗、風吹葉落、聞聲而怖、彼之遁逃、若避鋒刃、即無追者、亦必顚仆、
