So in the ninth year of Zedekiah’s reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his whole army. He encamped outside the city and built siege works all around it.

Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon. He marched out against Jerusalem. His whole army went with him. It was in the ninth year of the rule of Zedekiah. It was on the tenth day of the tenth month. Nebuchadnezzar set up camp outside the city. He brought in war machines all around it.

And in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came with all his army against Jerusalem and laid siege to it. And they built siegeworks all around it.

So on January 15, during the ninth year of Zedekiah’s reign, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon led his entire army against Jerusalem. They surrounded the city and built siege ramps against its walls.

In the ninth year of Zedekiah’s reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon advanced against Jerusalem with his entire army. They laid siege to the city and built a siege wall against it all around.

Now in the ninth year of his reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, camped against it, and built a siege wall all around it.

Now it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army came against Jerusalem and encamped against it; and they built a siege wall against it all around.

So King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came against Jerusalem with his whole army and set up camp outside it. They built siege ramps all around it. He arrived on the tenth day of the tenth month in the ninth year of Zedekiah’s reign.

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、率其軍旅、及屬國人民、攻耶路撒冷、與四周諸邑、時以色列族之上帝耶和華諭耶利米曰、當覲猶大王西底家、傳我命云、我將付斯邑於巴比倫王手、使其焚燬、

日至、敵必築壘環繞、四面困爾、夷爾及赤子、不遺石於石上、以爾不知眷顧之日也、○

耶和華又曰、凡諸邦國、不肯服軛、事巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒者、必以鋒刃、饑饉瘟疫罰之、翦滅務盡。

當時尼布甲尼撒奉耶和華命、徙猶大耶路撒冷民、約撒答亦已遷徙。

約雅斤被擄之九年、十月十日、耶和華諭我曰、人子、爾當記錄是日、今日巴比倫王、攻耶路撒冷、當罕譬而喻、以示違逆之家、曰、主耶和華曰、置鼎於火、盛之於水、取群畜之佳者、投其肉於中、或蹄或肘、遴選肢骸、集之於鼎、鼎下焚以車薪、使鼎沸骨糜。

惟爾人子取瓦、置於前、以耶路撒冷城、圖刻於上、環攻其城、建崇臺、築營壘、發鎚、欲破之、取鐵釜、置於鐵垣、在爾與城間、以此圍城、困迫特甚、以上所圖、堪以為兆、示以色列族。爾身左側以卧、為以色列族負罪、視爾偃卧之日數幾何、則爾負其罪亦若是。以色列族獲罪三百九十年、我使爾負其罪、當歷三百九十日。其數既盈、爾身當右側以卧、負猶大家之罪、歷四十日、一日以抵一年。爾必面嚮耶路撒冷圖、而袒其臂、為攻城之兆。我將束縛爾、使爾能不反側、至城陷之日乃已。

耶和華又曰、我必以斯邑付於巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、及迦勒底人手、

郇邑及耶路撒冷民曰、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、噬予滅予、使我為虛器、吞我若蛇、飫我肥甘、逐我遠去、彼虐遇予、殺予戚屬、罪必歸巴比倫、及迦勒底民。

是時巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒征猶大、約雅金臣服三年、後復謀叛、

尼布甲尼撒王、頒詔天下、曰、願民人族姓、咸得平康、至上上帝、行異跡奇事、施於我躬我欲述之、上帝之經綸、大而無比、其國鞏固、永世靡暨、我尼布甲尼撒晏處深宮、時值昇平、忽得一夢、致余畏懼、宵闌輾轉、中心鬱伊、爰召巴比倫諸哲士、咸詣我前、俾以夢兆告余、於是博士賢人、太史卜師、咸集、余告以所夢、彼不能解其兆焉、既而但以理至、彼循我上帝之名、稱曰伯底沙撒、為至聖上帝之神所感、余即以夢告之曰、博士長伯底沙撒、我知爾感於至聖上帝之神、凡秘奧之事、爾能明晰、無事三思、我所得之夢、其兆維何、願明以告我、我中宵偃卧、夢樹生於地、其高莫及、生長堅剛、高凌霄漢、天下之人、皆得仰而見之、其葉蓁蓁、厥果纍纍、百物得而果腹、野獸伏於其蔭、飛鳥巢於其枝、我卧於榻、夢聖使者、巡察者、自天而降、大聲呼曰、斬其柯、斫其枝、摧其葉、摘其果、使其下獸不得伏、其上鳥不能棲、斷枝剩幹、猶留於地、斯樹譬諸斯人、束以銅鐵、委其草萊之間、為夜露所沾濡、使之嚙蒭、無異野獸、使其赤子之心、陡變豺狼之念、待七年既屆、聖使者、巡察者已定命若此、使天下之人、皆知至上者、秉其鈞衡、在乎寰區之內、隨意昇降、以賤為貴、治理民人、我尼布甲尼撒已得此夢、國中哲士、咸不能解其兆、惟爾伯底沙撒為至聖上帝之神所感、盍以兆告余、

使迦勒底王至、在聖室中、戮諸壯士、凡丁男、處女、耆年、耄耋者、俱無所惜、見虜於敵。上帝殿中、大小器皿、以及寶物、王與諸伯珍貴之器、悉徙至巴比倫、燬上帝殿、墮耶路撒冷城焚宮室、壞珍器。凡免殺戮者、虜至巴比倫、使為奴婢、世供服役、迨巴西國興。於是以色列土地荒寂、若享安息、歷七十年、應耶利米所傳耶和華言、

主耶和華曰、我必使諸王之王、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、來自北方、簡其車馬、率其軍旅、以攻推羅、

我使敵至、築壘建臺、環攻斯城、

猶大王西底家九年十月、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒帥師圍耶路撒冷、十一年四月九日取之。巴比倫王之牧伯、尼甲沙利泄、三甲尼破、宦官長撒西金、博士長尼甲沙哩設、又有王之牧伯數人、咸至坐於中門。猶大王西底家與諸武士見此、則夤夜逃遁、有途近於王囿、有門在於二垣之間、由此以出、望平原而去、迦勒底人帥師、追及之、於耶利哥平原執之、解至哈末地之立拉、以見巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、請彼定擬。巴比倫王在立拉、殺西底家之世子、使之目睹、猶大之家亦遭誅殛。抉西底家之目、繫以銅索、被逮於巴比倫、王宮民室、悉為迦勒底人所燬、墮耶路撒冷城垣。侍衛長尼布撒喇擔、虜邑遺民、以及歸誠之卒、悉至巴比倫、其尚留於猶大者、惟貧乏之民而已、賜之以葡萄園田畝。

今敵築壘、勢甚危迫、攻城殆破、斯邑之人、戮以鋒刃、因以饑饉、重以疫癘、迦勒底人遂取邑垣、爾言有應、爾實鑒之。

告之曰、萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、我必使我僕、巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒至此、置位張幕於藏石之所、

是時巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒之臣工僕眾、環攻耶路撒冷、

據繇辭、當右往耶路撒冷、發鎚破之、厥口孔張、大聲號呼、欲行殺戮、復發鎚攻門、建營築壘。耶路撒冷人既與法老盟、則以巴比倫之卜筮為不足信、巴比倫王追憶其背約之罪、必取其邑。主耶和華曰、巴比倫王知爾背約、厥罪昭彰、所為不善、故為敵所取。
