因為是為了永恆主怒氣發作的緣故，事情在耶路撒冷和猶大才發展到永恆主竟丟掉他們離開自己面前。西底家背叛了巴比倫王。

It was because of the Lord’s anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah, and in the end he thrust them from his presence. Now Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

The enemies of Jerusalem and Judah attacked them because the Lord was angry. In the end the Lord threw them out of his land. Zedekiah also refused to remain under the control of Nebuchadnezzar.

For because of the anger of the Lord it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that he cast them out from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

These things happened because of the Lord’s anger against the people of Jerusalem and Judah, until he finally banished them from his presence and sent them into exile. Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

Because of the LORD’s anger, it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that he finally banished them from his presence. Then Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

For it was due to the anger of the Lord that this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, until He cast them out of His presence. And Zedekiah revolted against the king of Babylon.

並且呢，尼布甲尼撒王曾叫他指着上帝來起誓，他也背叛了那王；硬着脖子，心裏頑固，不歸向永恆主以色列的上帝。

對猶大王西底家我也照這一切話告訴他說：『要把你們的脖子放在巴比倫王的軛下、去服事他和他的人民，以得存活。你和你人民為甚麼硬要由刀劍、饑荒、和瘟疫、去死亡，像永恆主論到那不服事巴比倫王的那種國所說的話呢？那些神言人告訴你們說：「你們必不至於服事巴比倫王」的，他們的話你們可不要聽，因為他們向你們傳為神言的乃是虛假。因為永恆主發神諭說，我並沒有差遣他們，是他們冒我的名去傳假神言，使我將你們、和那些向你們傳神言的人、都放逐出去一同滅亡。』

那不法者之「來臨」是依撒但「所運用的動力」、用各樣虛謊之異能神迹奇事，用各樣不義之誘惑施在趨於滅亡的人身上的，因為他們不接受愛真理的心而使他們得救。

但是希實本王西宏不情願容我們從他那裏經過，因為永恆主你的上帝使他的靈剛愎、心意頑固，為要將他交在你手中、像今日一樣。

但他卻背叛了巴王，反而差遣使者往埃及去，要他們給他馬匹和許多兵丁。他哪能順利成功呢？行這樣事的人哪能逃脫呢？違反了盟約哪能逃脫呢？主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓：巴王立他做王，他竟藐視了發咒起誓的話，違反了巴王跟他所立的約；因此他一定必死在巴比倫、巴王住的地方。敵人倒土堆築了壘要剪滅許多人時，法老雖領了大軍隊大羣眾人也不能在戰陣上跟他周旋呀。他藐視了發咒起誓的話，違犯了盟約；曾經舉手起了誓，還行這一切事，他必不能逃脫。因此主永恆主這麼說：我指着永活的我來起誓，對他所藐視我發咒起誓的話、和他所違犯我立的約、我一定要將這罪還報在他頭上。我必將我的網撒在他身上，他必在我的網羅中被捉住；我要把他帶到巴比倫，在那裏判罰他對我不忠實的罪。

耶利米對西底家說：『永恆主萬軍之上帝以色列之上帝這麼說：你若毅然出去歸降巴比倫王的首領，你的性命就得以活着，這城也不至於被火焚燒，你和你的家就得以活着。但你若不出去歸降巴比倫王的首領，這城就必交在迦勒底人手中；他們必放火燒城，你自己也不能逃脫他們的手。』西底家王對耶利米說：『我，我怕那些投降迦勒底人的猶大人，恐怕迦勒底人會將我交在他們手中，他們會作弄我。』耶利米說：『他們是不會將你交出的。你只管聽永恆主的聲音，聽我對你所說的話，你就可以平安無事，你的性命也得以活着。你若不肯出去，永恆主指示我的話乃是這樣：

因為他們離棄了我，向別的神燻祭，好用他們手所作的一切事來惹我發怒，故此我必向這地發怒火，總不熄滅。

瑣安的首領極其愚昧，法老大有智慧的謀士所設的乃是畜類無知的計謀。你們怎敢對法老說：『我是智慧人的兒子，我是古時君王的子孫』呢？那麼你的智慧人在哪裏呢？萬軍之永恆主對責罰埃及所定的旨意、他們儘可以告訴你，儘可以播知出來呀。瑣安的首領很愚昧，挪弗的首領受欺哄；埃及族派的中堅人物使埃及人走迷了路。永恆主使歪曲的靈攙入於其中，以致他們使埃及一切所作的全都迷迷糊糊，好像醉酒的人嘔吐時迷迷糊糊一樣。

因此永恆主向這地發怒，將這書上所寫的一切咒詛都帶到這地來；

因為這一次我必打發我的一切疫症來擊打你本身，和你的臣僕跟人民，叫你知道在全地上沒有神像我一樣。如今我儘可以伸手用瘟疫擊打你和你的人民，你就從這地被抹除了。然而我還讓你存立，正為的是要向你彰顯我的大能力，並傳揚我的名於全地。你還向我的人民傲慢，不讓他們走麼？

智慧人在哪裏？經學士在哪裏？今世的辯士在哪裏？上帝豈不是叫世界上的智慧變成了愚拙麼？
