Nebuchadnezzar took from there all the riches in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and of the royal palace. He removed all the gold items which King Solomon of Israel had made for the LORD’s temple, just as the LORD had warned.

As the Lord had declared, Nebuchadnezzar removed the treasures from the temple of the Lord and from the royal palace, and cut up the gold articles that Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the Lord.

Solomon also made all these items for the LORD’s temple: the gold altar, the gold table on which was kept the Bread of the Presence,the pure gold lampstands at the entrance to the inner sanctuary( five on the right and five on the left), the gold flower-shaped ornaments, lamps, and tongs,the pure gold bowls, trimming shears, basins, pans, and censers, and the gold door sockets for the inner sanctuary( the most holy place) and for the doors of the main hall of the temple.

I will hand over all the wealth of this city to their enemies. I will hand over to them all the fruits of the labor of the people of this city and all their prized possessions, as well as all the treasures of the kings of Judah. Their enemies will seize it all as plunder and carry it off to Babylon.

While under the influence of the wine, Belshazzar issued an order to bring in the gold and silver vessels– the ones that Nebuchadnezzar his father had confiscated from the temple in Jerusalem– so that the king and his nobles, together with his wives and his concubines, could drink from them.So they brought the gold and silver vessels that had been confiscated from the temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, together with his wives and concubines, drank from them.

The Babylonians broke the two bronze pillars in the LORD’s temple, as well as the movable stands and the big bronze basin called the“ The Sea.” They took the bronze to Babylon.They also took the pots, shovels, trimming shears, pans, and all the bronze utensils used by the priests.The captain of the royal guard took the golden and silver censers and basins.

Before two years are over, I will bring back to this place everything that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon took from it and carried away to Babylon.I will also bring back to this place Jehoiakim’s son King Jeconiah of Judah and all the exiles who were taken to Babylon.’ Indeed, the LORD affirms,‘ I will break the yoke of servitude to the king of Babylon.’”

He made ten gold lampstands according to specifications and put them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left.He made ten tables and set them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left. He also made one hundred gold bowls.He made the courtyard of the priests and the large enclosure and its doors; he plated their doors with bronze.He put“ The Sea” on the south side, in the southeast corner.Huram Abi made the pots, shovels, and bowls. He finished all the work on God’s temple he had been assigned by King Solomon.He made the two pillars, the two bowl-shaped tops of the pillars, the latticework for the bowl-shaped tops of the two pillars,the four hundred pomegranate-shaped ornaments for the latticework of the two pillars( each latticework had two rows of these ornaments at the bowl-shaped top of the pillar),the ten movable stands with their ten basins,the big bronze basin called“ The Sea” with its twelve bulls underneath,and the pots, shovels, and meat forks. All the items King Solomon assigned Huram Abi to make for the LORD’s temple were made from polished bronze.The king had them cast in earthen foundries in the region of the Jordan between Succoth and Zarethan.Solomon made so many of these items they did not weigh the bronze.Solomon also made these items for God’s temple: the gold altar, the tables on which the Bread of the Presence was kept,the pure gold lampstands and their lamps which burned as specified at the entrance to the inner sanctuary,the pure gold flower-shaped ornaments, lamps, and tongs,the pure gold trimming shears, basins, pans, and censers, and the gold door sockets for the inner sanctuary( the most holy place) and for the doors of the main hall of the temple.

The prophet Jeremiah said,“ Amen! May the LORD do all this! May the LORD make your prophecy come true! May he bring back to this place from Babylon all the valuable articles taken from the LORD’s temple and the people who were carried into exile.

Then King Cyrus brought out the vessels of the LORD’s temple which Nebuchadnezzar had brought from Jerusalem and had displayed in the temple of his gods.King Cyrus of Persia entrusted them to Mithredath the treasurer, who counted them out to Sheshbazzar the leader of the Judahite exiles.The inventory of these items was as follows: 30 gold basins, 1,000 silver basins, 29 silver utensils,30 gold bowls, 410 other silver bowls, and 1,000 other vessels.All these gold and silver vessels totaled 5,400. Sheshbazzar brought them all along when the captives were brought up from Babylon to Jerusalem.

I also told the priests and all the people,“ The LORD says,‘ Do not listen to what your prophets are saying. They are prophesying to you that the valuable articles taken from the LORD’s temple will be brought back from Babylon very soon. But they are prophesying a lie to you.Do not listen to them. Be subject to the king of Babylon. Then you will continue to live. Why should this city be made a pile of rubble?’”I also told them,“ If they are really prophets and the LORD is speaking to them, let them pray earnestly to the LORD who rules over all. Let them plead with him not to let the valuable articles that are still left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace, and in Jerusalem be taken away to Babylon.For the LORD who rules over all has already spoken about the two bronze pillars, the large bronze basin called‘ The Sea,’ and the movable bronze stands. He has already spoken about the rest of the valuable articles that are left in this city.He has already spoken about these things that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon did not take away when he carried Jehoiakim’s son King Jeconiah of Judah and the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem away as captives.Indeed, the LORD God of Israel who rules over all has already spoken about the valuable articles that are left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
