The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest, the priests next in rank and the doorkeepers to remove from the temple of the Lord all the articles made for Baal and Asherah and all the starry hosts. He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron Valley and took the ashes to Bethel.

Certain things in the Lord’ s temple had been made to honor other gods. They were the god named Baal, the female god named Asherah and all the stars in the sky. The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest to remove those things. The king ordered the priests who were next in rank and the men who guarded the doors to help Hilkiah. Josiah took those things that had been in the Lord’ s temple and burned them outside Jerusalem. He burned them in the fields in the Kidron Valley. And he took the ashes to Bethel.

And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest and the priests of the second order and the keepers of the threshold to bring out of the temple of the Lord all the vessels made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven. He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron and carried their ashes to Bethel.

Then the king instructed Hilkiah the high priest and the priests of the second rank and the Temple gatekeepers to remove from the Lord’s Temple all the articles that were used to worship Baal, Asherah, and all the powers of the heavens. The king had all these things burned outside Jerusalem on the terraces of the Kidron Valley, and he carried the ashes away to Bethel.

Then the king commanded the high priest Hilkiah and the priests of the second rank and the doorkeepers to bring out of the LORD’s sanctuary all the articles made for Baal, Asherah, and all the stars in the sky. He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron and carried their ashes to Bethel.

Then the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers to bring out of the temple of the Lord all the utensils that had been made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the heavenly lights; and he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron Valley, and carried their ashes to Bethel.

He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron and carried their ashes to Bethel.

And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.

The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest, the high-ranking priests, and the guards to bring out of the LORD’s temple all the items that were used in the worship of Baal, Asherah, and all the stars of the sky. The king burned them outside of Jerusalem in the terraces of Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.

The king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the threshold, to bring out of Yahweh’s temple all the vessels that were made for Baal, for the Asherah, and for all the army of the sky, and he burned them outside of Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.

护卫长拿住大祭司西莱雅、副祭司西番亚，和三个把门的，

重新建筑他父希西家所拆毁的邱坛，又为巴力筑坛，做木偶，且敬拜侍奉天上的万象，

“以色列啊，你虽然行淫，犹大却不可犯罪。不要往吉甲去，不要上到伯亚文，也不要指着永生的耶和华起誓。

现在你当差遣人，招聚以色列众人和侍奉巴力的那四百五十个先知，并耶洗别所供养侍奉亚舍拉的那四百个先知，使他们都上迦密山去见我。”

那时，祭司长和民间的长老聚集在大祭司称为该亚法的院里。

耶稣说了这话，就同门徒出去，过了汲沦溪。在那里有一个园子，他和门徒进去了。

本地的人都放声大哭。众民尽都过去，王也过了汲沦溪；众民往旷野去了。

他们将所得的牛犊预备好了，从早晨到午间，求告巴力的名说：“巴力啊，求你应允我们！”却没有声音，没有应允的。他们在所筑的坛四围踊跳。

所以，雅各的罪孽得赦免，他的罪过得除掉的果效，全在乎此：就是他叫祭坛的石头变为打碎的灰石，以致木偶和日像不再立起。

你们偷盗，杀害，奸淫，起假誓，向巴力烧香，并随从素不认识的别神，

他将伯特利的坛，就是叫以色列人陷在罪里、尼八的儿子耶罗波安所筑的那坛，都拆毁焚烧，打碎成灰，并焚烧了亚舍拉。

并离弃耶和华，去侍奉巴力和亚斯他录。

他就把牛犊一只安在伯特利，一只安在但。

“以色列人哪，任你们往伯特利去犯罪，到吉甲加增罪过；每日早晨献上你们的祭物，每三日奉上你们的十分之一。

犯了尼八的儿子耶罗波安所犯的罪；他还以为轻，又娶了西顿王谒巴力的女儿耶洗别为妻，去侍奉敬拜巴力，

但我在以色列人中为自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的，未曾与巴力亲嘴的。”

又在神殿内立雕刻的偶像。神曾对大卫和他儿子所罗门说：“我在以色列各支派中所选择的耶路撒冷和这殿，必立我的名直到永远。

守门的班次记在下面：可拉族亚萨的子孙中，有可利的儿子米施利米雅。米施利米雅的长子是撒迦利亚，次子是耶叠，三子是西巴第雅，四子是耶提聂，五子是以拦，六子是约哈难，七子是以利约乃。俄别以东的长子是示玛雅，次子是约萨拔，三子是约亚，四子是沙甲，五子是拿坦业，六子是亚米利，七子是以萨迦，八子是毗乌利太，因为神赐福与俄别以东。他的儿子示玛雅有几个儿子，都是大能的壮士，掌管父亲的家。示玛雅的儿子是俄得尼、利法益、俄备得、以利萨巴。以利萨巴的弟兄是壮士，还有以利户和西玛迦。这都是俄别以东的子孙，他们和他们的儿子并弟兄，都是善于办事的壮士。俄别以东的子孙共六十二人。米施利米雅的儿子和弟兄都是壮士，共十八人。米拉利子孙何萨有几个儿子：长子是申利，他原不是长子，是他父亲立他作长子。次子是希勒家，三子是底巴利雅，四子是撒迦利亚。何萨的儿子并弟兄共十三人。这些人都是守门的班长，与他们的弟兄一同在耶和华殿里按班供职。他们无论大小，都按着宗族掣签分守各门。掣签守东门的是示利米雅；他的儿子撒迦利亚是精明的谋士，掣签守北门。俄别以东守南门，他的儿子守库房。书聘与何萨守西门，在靠近沙利基门、通着往上去的街道上，班与班相对。每日东门有六个利未人，北门有四个，南门有四个，库房有两个，又有两个轮班替换。在西面街道上有四个，在游廊上有两个。以上是可拉子孙和米拉利子孙守门的班次。

离弃耶和华他们神的一切诫命，为自己铸了两个牛犊的像，立了亚舍拉，敬拜天上的万象，侍奉巴力，

“你去见大祭司希勒家，使他将奉到耶和华殿的银子，就是守门的从民中收聚的银子，数算数算，

以利亚对他们说：“拿住巴力的先知，不容一人逃脱！”众人就拿住他们。以利亚带他们到基顺河边，在那里杀了他们。

护卫长拿住大祭司西莱雅、副祭司西番亚，和三个把门的，

他作王第八年，尚且年幼，就寻求他祖大卫的神。到了十二年才洁净犹大和耶路撒冷，除掉邱坛、木偶、雕刻的像，和铸造的像。众人在他面前拆毁巴力的坛，砍断坛上高高的日像，又把木偶和雕刻的像，并铸造的像打碎成灰，撒在祭偶像人的坟上，

到了早晨，众祭司长和民间的长老大家商议要治死耶稣，

以利亚撒子孙中为首的比以他玛子孙中为首的更多，分班如下：以利亚撒的子孙中有十六个族长，以他玛的子孙中有八个族长；都掣签分立，彼此一样。在圣所和神面前作首领的有以利亚撒的子孙，也有以他玛的子孙。作书记的利未人拿坦业的儿子示玛雅在王和首领，与祭司撒督、亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒，并祭司利未人的族长面前记录他们的名字。在以利亚撒的子孙中取一族，在以他玛的子孙中取一族。掣签的时候，第一掣出来的是耶何雅立，第二是耶大雅，第三是哈琳，第四是梭琳，第五是玛基雅，第六是米雅民，第七是哈歌斯，第八是亚比雅，第九是耶书亚，第十是示迦尼，第十一是以利亚实，第十二是雅金，第十三是胡巴，第十四是耶是比押，第十五是璧迦，第十六是音麦，第十七是希悉，第十八是哈辟悉，第十九是毗他希雅，第二十是以西结，第二十一是雅斤，第二十二是迦末，第二十三是第来雅，第二十四是玛西亚。这就是他们的班次，要照耶和华以色列的神藉他们祖宗亚伦所吩咐的条例进入耶和华的殿办理事务。
