While Josiah was king, Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went up to the Euphrates River to help the king of Assyria. King Josiah marched out to meet him in battle, but Necho faced him and killed him at Megiddo.

Pharaoh Necho was king of Egypt. He marched up to the Euphrates River. He went there to help the king of Assyria. It happened while Josiah was king. Josiah marched out to meet Necho in battle. When Necho saw him at Megiddo, he killed him.

In his days Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt went up to the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates. King Josiah went to meet him, and Pharaoh Neco killed him at Megiddo, as soon as he saw him.

有一件虚空的事发生在地上：临到义人的是照着恶人所行的，临到恶人的是照着义人所行的。我说：“这也是虚空！”

哦，深奥啊！神的智慧和知识的财富！他的判断是多么地无法探究，他的道是多么地无法测度！

义人死亡，没有人放在心上；忠诚的人被接去，没有人理会。义人被接去脱离祸患，进入平安；行事坦诚的人安息在自己的躺卧处。

于是，那些鬼魔的灵把众君王都召集到一个地方；希伯来语叫做“哈米吉多顿”。

因此我把这一切放在心上，为要察验这些事：义人、智慧人和他们所做的都在神的手中；那将临到他们的一切，无论是爱是恨，没有人知道。每个人的命运都是一样的：义人与恶人，好人与坏人，洁净的与不洁净的，献祭的与不献祭的都有一样的命运。好人怎样，罪人也怎样；起誓的怎样，怕起誓的也怎样。
