He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.

Josiah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. He lived the way King David had lived. He didn’t turn away from it to the right or the left.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and walked in all the way of David his father, and he did not turn aside to the right or to the left.

He did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of his ancestor David. He did not turn away from doing what was right.

所罗门说：“你曾向你仆人我父亲大卫大施慈爱，因为他用忠信、公义、正直的心行在你面前。你又为他存留大慈爱，赐他一个儿子坐在他的王位上，正如今日一样。

因为大卫除了赫人乌利亚那件事，都行耶和华眼中看为正的事，一生没有违背耶和华一切所吩咐的。

“看哪，他若生了儿子，儿子见父亲所犯的一切罪，他见了，却不照样去做；他未曾在山上吃祭物，未曾向以色列家的偶像举目，未曾污辱邻舍的妻；也未曾亏负人，未曾取人的抵押品，未曾抢夺人的物件，却把食物给饥饿的人吃，把衣服给赤身的人穿，缩手不害困苦人，未曾向人索取利息或高利；反倒顺从我的典章，遵行我的律例；如此，他必不因父亲的罪孽死亡，定要存活。

耶和华与约沙法同在，因为他行他祖先大卫从前所行的道，不去寻求诸巴力，

你若听从我一切所吩咐你的，遵行我的道，行我眼中看为正的事，谨守我的律例诫命，像我仆人大卫所行的，我就与你同在，为你立坚固的家，像我为大卫所立的一样，将以色列赐给你。
