He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.

Josiah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. He lived the way King David had lived. He didn’t turn away from it to the right or the left.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and walked in all the way of David his father, and he did not turn aside to the right or to the left.

He did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of his ancestor David. He did not turn away from doing what was right.

兒童所作的是不是純潔或正直，都是由他的行為而使自己被認識的。

不可偏向右或偏向左；要使你的腳遠離壞事。

因為大衛、除了赫人烏利亞那件事以外、都行永恆主所看為對的事，儘他一生的日子他都沒有偏離永恆主所吩咐他的一切事。

『但是他若生個兒子，這兒子見他父親所犯的一切罪，便懼怕，不照樣去行；他不在山上喫祭偶像之物，不舉目瞻仰以色列家的偶像，不玷污鄰舍的妻，不虧負人，不索取當頭，不搶奪人的物件，卻將自己的食物給了饑餓的人，將衣服給赤身裸體的人遮身；不公道的事他縮手不作，利息或物資利他不索取，我的典章他照作，我的律例他遵行——這樣的人必不因他父親的罪孽而死亡；他一定活着。

永恆主和約沙法同在，因為他行了他父親初行的道路，不尋求眾巴力，

將來你若聽我所吩咐你的，走我的路，行我所看為對的事，謹守我的律例誡命，像我僕人大衛所行的，那麼我就與你同在，為你建立堅固的王室，像我為大衛建立的一樣，將以色列賜給你。
