“你们去，为了我、为了人民、为了犹大全国，因着所发现的这书卷上的话求问耶和华，因为耶和华向我们所发的怒气极大；这是因着我们的祖先没有听从这律法书上的话，没有照着所有写给我们的去行。”

“你們去，為了我、為了人民、為了猶大全國，因著所發現的這書卷上的話求問耶和華，因為耶和華向我們所發的怒氣極大；這是因著我們的祖先沒有聽從這律法書上的話，沒有照著所有寫給我們的去行。”

『你們去，為我、為人民、為猶大眾人、將所發現這一卷書上的話尋問永恆主；因為我們列祖沒有聽從這書上的話，沒有遵行、照這一切所寫關於我們的事，以致永恆主向我們大發烈怒。』

汝其往哉、為我為民、為猶大眾、以此書之言、詢於耶和華、因我列祖不聽此書之言、不遵所載諭我儕者而行、故耶和華向我、發怒甚烈、

爾曹往哉、為我及猶大全族之民、諮諏耶和華、蓋我列祖、未從此書所言、干耶和華震怒。

爾往、為我、為民、為猶大全族、因此書之言問於主、我列祖不聽從此書之言、不遵此書所載一切諭我之命而行、主之烈怒、必向我如火之烈、

“ Go and inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.”

“ Go. Ask the Lord for advice. Ask him about what is written in this book that has been found. Do it for me. Also do it for the people and the whole nation of Judah. The Lord is very angry with us. That’s because our people who have lived before us didn’t obey the words of this book. They didn’t do everything written there about us.”

“ Go, inquire of the Lord for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found. For great is the wrath of the Lord that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”

“ Go to the Temple and speak to the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah. Inquire about the words written in this scroll that has been found. For the Lord’s great anger is burning against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words in this scroll. We have not been doing everything it says we must do.”

“ Go and inquire of the LORD for me, for the people, and for all Judah about the words in this book that has been found. For great is the LORD’s wrath that is kindled against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this book in order to do everything written about us.”

“ Go, inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and all Judah concerning the words of this book that has been found, for the wrath of the Lord that burns against us is great, because our fathers did not listen to the words of this book, to act in accordance with everything that is written regarding us.”

“ Go, inquire of the Lord for me, for the people and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found; for great is the wrath of the Lord that is aroused against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”

Go ye, inquire of Jehovah for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the wrath of Jehovah that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

“ Go and inquire of the Lord for me, the people, and all Judah about the instruction in this book that has been found. For great is the Lord’s wrath that is kindled against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this book in order to do everything written about us.”

Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great[ is] the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

“ Go, seek an oracle from the LORD for me and the people– for all Judah. Find out about the words of this scroll that has been discovered. For the LORD’s fury has been ignited against us, because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this scroll by doing all that it instructs us to do.”

“ Go inquire of Yahweh for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is Yahweh’s wrath that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.”

遍地將是硫磺和鹽，無法耕種，寸草不生，如同耶和華盛怒之下毀滅的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪和洗扁。萬國必問，『耶和華為什麼要這樣對待這地方？祂為什麼大發烈怒？』必有人回答說，『因為這地方的人背棄了他們祖先的上帝耶和華領他們出埃及時與他們所立的約，去供奉、祭拜他們所不認識、並非耶和華所分派的神明。因此，耶和華向這片土地發怒，把這書上的一切咒詛都降在這裡。耶和華盛怒之下把他們從這地方連根拔起，扔到別的地方，正如今日的情形。』

那時，我要向他們發怒，離棄他們，掩面不理他們。他們將被吞滅，遭遇許多禍患和災難，以致他們會說，『這些禍患臨到我們豈不是因為上帝不在我們中間了嗎？』那時，我必掩面不理他們，因為他們祭拜別的神明，行為邪惡。

我們沒有聽從我們的上帝耶和華的話，沒有遵行祂藉祂的僕人——眾先知給我們頒佈的律法。

後來，西底迦王派人把他帶到自己的宮中，私下問他：「耶和華有什麼話給你嗎？」耶利米說：「有，你要被交在巴比倫王手中。」

但我們必照所許的願向天后燒香奠酒，正如我們和我們的祖先、君王和官長在猶大各城和耶路撒冷街上所做的一樣。那時，我們食物充足，生活幸福，無災無禍。

不可跪拜它們，也不可供奉它們，因為我——你的上帝耶和華痛恨不貞，我必追討背棄我之人的罪，從父到子直到三四代。

可是，你們的行為比他們更邪惡，一意孤行，不聽從我。

耶和華與敬畏祂的人為友，使他們認識祂的約。

掃羅死了，因為他對耶和華不忠，不聽從祂的教誨，甚至去求問靈媒，而不求問耶和華。因此，耶和華使他被殺，把王位交給了耶西的兒子大衛。

西底迦王派瑪基雅的兒子巴施戶珥和瑪西雅的兒子西番雅祭司來見耶利米的時候，耶利米聽到了耶和華的話。當時，他們對耶利米說：「請你為我們求問耶和華，因為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒來攻打我們，或許耶和華會像以往一樣行神蹟，使敵人撤軍。」

因為祂們發烈怒的大日子到了，誰能站得住呢？」

唯有你當受敬畏。你發怒的時候，誰能在你面前站立呢？

約沙法說：「這裡有沒有耶和華的先知？我們可以託他求問耶和華。」以色列王的一個臣僕答道：「沙法的兒子以利沙在這裡，以前他是以利亞的助手。」

我沒認識律法之前是活的，但律法來了之後，罪就活了，而我卻死了。

但約沙法問：「這裡沒有耶和華的先知供我們求問嗎？」以色列王回答說：「這裡還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以託他求問耶和華。可是我厭惡他，因為他給我的預言都是有凶無吉。」約沙法說：「王不要這樣說。」

「人子啊，這些人在心裡立起偶像，把導致犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，我豈能讓他們來求問？你告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『任何以色列人若在心裡立起偶像，把導致犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，又來求問先知，我耶和華必按他心中假神的數目親自用懲罰回答他，

我們犯罪作惡，行為邪惡叛逆，偏離你的誡命和典章，沒有聽從你的僕人——眾先知奉你的名向我們的君王、首領、先祖及國中百姓所說的話。主啊，你是公義的，我們今日滿面羞愧，我們猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民，以及因對你不忠而被驅散到遠近各地的以色列人都滿面羞愧。主啊，我們和我們的君王、首領、先祖因得罪了你而滿臉羞愧。

凡事都要尋求祂，祂必指引你走正路。

他們站在自己的地方，宣讀他們上帝耶和華的律法書，長達三個小時。他們又用了三個小時認罪，敬拜他們的上帝耶和華。

因為有律法，就有刑罰；哪裡沒有律法，哪裡就沒有違法的事。

「你們去為我、為以色列和猶大的餘民求問耶和華有關這書卷上的話。耶和華的烈怒已經臨到我們身上，因為我們的祖先沒有遵守耶和華的話，沒有遵行這書卷上的話。」

的確，主耶和華不向祂的僕人——眾先知顯明祂的計劃，就不會採取任何行動。

我們的祖先行事不忠，做我們的上帝耶和華視為惡的事，背棄祂，轉臉背向祂的居所。

第七年五月十日，有幾個以色列的長老來到我這裡，坐在我面前。耶和華對我說：「人子啊，你要告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『你們是來求問我嗎？我憑我的永恆起誓，我決不讓你們求問。』

祂發怒，誰能站立？祂發烈怒，誰能承受？祂的憤怒如火焰噴湧而出，磐石在祂面前崩裂。

他們宣讀上帝的律法書，並解釋清楚，使民眾明白所宣讀的。全體民眾聽到律法書上的話都哭了。尼希米省長、律法教師以斯拉祭司和教導民眾的利未人對他們說：「今天是你們上帝耶和華的聖日，不要悲哀、哭泣。」

我們跟祖先一樣也犯了罪，行事邪惡。

因為無人能夠靠遵行律法而被上帝視為義人，律法的本意是要使人知罪。

我們的祖先犯了罪，已經逝去，我們卻要承擔他們的罪責。

你們要行道，不要只是聽道，自己欺騙自己。因為人聽道而不行道，就像照鏡子一樣，看過後就走了，隨即忘記了自己的容貌。但詳細查考那使人得自由的全備律法並且持之以恆的人，不是聽了就忘，而是身體力行，這樣的人必在他所行的事上蒙福。

你們要謹慎，不可忘記你們的上帝耶和華與你們所立的約，不可違背你們上帝耶和華的禁令，去製造任何形狀的神像。因為你們的上帝耶和華是烈火，是痛恨不貞的上帝。「將來，即使你們在那裡安頓已久、子孫滿堂，也不可墮落、製造任何形狀的神像，不可做你們的上帝耶和華視為邪惡的事，惹祂發怒。否則，今天我叫天地作證，你們必很快從約旦河對面將要佔領的土地上滅亡，你們必被徹底消滅，不得在那裡長久居住。耶和華必把你們驅散到列邦，使你們在列邦中的人數所剩無幾。
