「你的子民奉你的命令上陣與敵人作戰，無論他們在哪裡，如果他們向著你選擇的這城和我為你建造的這殿禱告，

因為耶和華已經揀選了錫安，願意將錫安作為祂的居所。祂說：「這是我永遠的居所；我要住在這裡，因為我喜愛這地方。

瑪拿西將偶像和外族人的神像從耶和華的殿中除去，又把他在聖殿山和耶路撒冷築造的一切祭壇全部拆掉，扔在城外。
