並且在欣嫩子谷燒香，用火焚燒自己的兒女，像耶和華在以色列人面前驅走的外族人所行可厭惡的事一樣；

耶和華喜悅千千的公羊，或是萬萬的油河嗎？為我的過犯，我可以獻上我的長子嗎？為我的罪惡，獻上我親生的孩子嗎？

“你要對以色列人說：任何以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的兒子獻給摩洛，必要把他處死；本地的人要用石頭把他打死。我也要向那人變臉，把他從他的族人中剪除，因為他把自己的兒子獻給摩洛，玷污了我的聖所，褻瀆了我的聖名。

埃及人的意志必消沉，我要破壞他們的計謀；他們必求問偶像、念咒的、交鬼的和行巫術的。

在耶和華看來，所多瑪人是罪大惡極的。

掃羅死了，因為他悖逆耶和華，沒有聽從他的話，也因為他去求問那交鬼的，

並且在欣嫩子谷把自己的兒女用火燒為祭，又占卜、行邪術、用法術、交鬼和通靈；作了很多耶和華看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

這事臨到猶大完全是出於耶和華的命令，因著瑪拿西的罪，就是他所行的一切，要把他們從自己面前趕走；又因著他所流無辜人的血，他使耶路撒冷滿了無辜人的血，耶和華決不赦免。

有人對你們說：“要求問那些交鬼的和行巫術的，就是那些喃喃細語的人。”一族之民不應當求問自己的神嗎？他們怎能為活人求問死人呢？

有一次，我們到祈禱的地方去的時候，一個被巫鬼附著的婢女迎面而來；她行占卜使主人們發了大財。
