耶利哥城的人對以利沙說：「我主，你看這城地勢很好，只是水不好，地裡長不出莊稼。」

那城的人对以利沙说：“请看这城的地势很好，老师你也看见，可惜水恶劣，以致此地没有出产。”

那城的人對以利沙說：“請看這城的地勢很好，老師你也看見，可惜水惡劣，以致此地沒有出產。”

耶利哥城的人對以利沙說：『您請看，這城坐落很好，正如我老師所看到的；不過水壞，以致此地不能生產。』

邑民謂以利沙曰、試觀此邑、地勢佳美、我主所見也、惟其水惡劣、土產不稔而隕、

邑人告以利沙曰、邑所建之處、便於利涉、我師所目睹也。然其水不佳、其土不產。

耶利歌邑人告以利沙曰、居於此邑為美、我主所知、然其水惡劣、使土硝瘠、或作使人小產

The people of the city said to Elisha,“ Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive.”

The people of Jericho said to Elisha,“ Look. This town has a good location. You can see that for yourself. But the spring of water here is bad. So the land doesn’t produce anything.”

Now the men of the city said to Elisha,“ Behold, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad, and the land is unfruitful.”

One day the leaders of the town of Jericho visited Elisha.“ We have a problem, my lord,” they told him.“ This town is located in pleasant surroundings, as you can see. But the water is bad, and the land is unproductive.”

The men of the city said to Elisha,“ My lord can see that even though the city’s location is good, the water is bad and the land unfruitful.”

Then the men of the city said to Elisha,“ Behold now, the site of the city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad and the land is unfruitful.”

Then the men of the city said to Elisha,“ Please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my Lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground barren.”

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, we pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is bad, and the land miscarrieth.

Then the men of the city said to Elisha,“ Even though our lord can see that the city’s location is good, the water is bad and the land unfruitful.”

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city[ is] pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water[ is] naught, and the ground barren.

The men of the city said to Elisha,“ Look, the city has a good location, as our master can see. But the water is bad and the land doesn’t produce crops.”

The men of the city said to Elisha,“ Behold, please, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the land is barren.”

「你們若不聽從你們的上帝耶和華，不謹遵祂今天藉我吩咐你們的一切誡命和律例，祂必使以下的咒詛臨到你們。「無論你們住在城裡還是鄉村，都必受咒詛。「你們的籃子和揉麵盆都必受咒詛。「婦女所生的，土地所產的，牛羊所生的都必受咒詛。

在你境內必沒有人流產或不育，我會使你壽終正寢。

到了瑪拉，那裡的水卻是苦的，不能喝。因此那地方叫瑪拉。

「在耶和華向你們祖先起誓要賜給你們的土地上，祂必使你們子孫昌盛、牛羊成群、五穀豐登。

耶洗別屠殺耶和華的眾先知時，我把一百名先知分別藏在兩個山洞裡，每洞五十人，供應他們飲食。我主沒有聽說這事嗎？

之後，約書亞起誓說：「重建耶利哥城的人必定在耶和華面前受咒詛，他立地基的時候必死長子，建城門的時候必喪幼子。」

要把這座城和城裡所有的東西毀滅，作為獻給耶和華之物。只有妓女喇合和她家中所有的人可以活命，因為她曾把我們派去的探子隱藏起來。

亞哈執政期間，伯特利人希伊勒重建耶利哥城。他立地基的時候，長子亞比蘭死了；安城門的時候，幼子西割死了。這應驗了耶和華藉嫩的兒子約書亞說的話。

俄巴底在路上遇見了以利亞，俄巴底認出了他，就俯伏在地上說：「你是我主以利亞嗎？」

你們若聽從你們的上帝耶和華的話，以下的福氣必臨到你們，追隨你們。「無論你們住在城裡還是鄉村，都必蒙福。「你們必子孫昌盛，五穀豐登，牛羊成群。

便對摩西說：「我主啊，求你不要因我們愚昧犯罪而懲罰我們。

耶和華啊，求你給他們——你要給他們什麼呢？求你使他們子宮流產，乳房乾癟。

耶和華對摩西說：「你告訴亞倫，讓他向埃及境內的各江河、溪流、池塘伸杖，使水變成血。埃及境內，包括木桶和石缸裡將到處是血。」

那些善於管理教會的長老，尤其是那些辛勤傳道和教導人的，理當得到加倍的尊敬和報酬。
