The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said,“ The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

The group of prophets from Jericho were watching. They said,“ The spirit of Elijah has been given to Elisha.” They went over to Elisha. They bowed down to him with their faces toward the ground.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him opposite them, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the group of prophets from Jericho saw from a distance what happened, they exclaimed,“ Elijah’s spirit rests upon Elisha!” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were observing saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah has settled on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

And when the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho over against him saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

And when the sons of the prophets which[ were] to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the members of the prophetic guild in Jericho, who were standing at a distance, saw him do this, they said,“ The spirit that energized Elijah rests upon Elisha.” They went to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

但我要從父那裏差保惠師來，就是從父出來真理的聖靈；他來了，就要為我作見證。你們也要作見證，因為你們從起頭就與我同在。」

耶和華說：「至於我與他們所立的約乃是這樣：我加給你的靈，傳給你的話，必不離你的口，也不離你後裔與你後裔之後裔的口，從今直到永遠；這是耶和華說的。」

但聖靈降臨在你們身上，你們就必得着能力，並要在耶路撒冷、猶太全地，和撒馬利亞，直到地極，作我的見證。」

有一個先知門徒的妻哀求以利沙說：「你僕人－我丈夫死了，他敬畏耶和華是你所知道的。現在有債主來，要取我兩個兒子作奴僕。」以利沙問她說：「我可以為你做甚麼呢？你告訴我，你家裏有甚麼？」她說：「婢女家中除了一瓶油之外，沒有甚麼。」以利沙說：「你去，向你眾鄰舍借空器皿，不要少借；回到家裏，關上門，你和你兒子在裏面將油倒在所有的器皿裏，倒滿了的放在一邊。」

婦人就進來，在以利沙腳前俯伏於地，抱起她兒子出去了。

有先知門徒去了五十人，遠遠地站在他們對面；二人在約旦河邊站住。

先知門徒對以利沙說：「看哪，我們同你所住的地方過於窄小，求你容我們往約旦河去，各人從那裏取一根木料建造房屋居住。」他說：「你們去吧！」有一人說：「求你與僕人同去。」回答說：「我可以去。」於是以利沙與他們同去。到了約旦河，就砍伐樹木。有一人砍樹的時候，斧頭掉在水裏，他就呼叫說：「哀哉！我主啊，這斧子是借的。」神人問說：「掉在哪裏了？」他將那地方指給以利沙看。以利沙砍了一根木頭，拋在水裏，斧頭就漂上來了。以利沙說：「拿起來吧！」那人就伸手拿起來了。

你們若為基督的名受辱罵，便是有福的；因為神榮耀的靈常住在你們身上。

耶和華的靈必住在他身上，就是使他有智慧和聰明的靈，謀略和能力的靈，知識和敬畏耶和華的靈。

耶和華對約書亞說：「從今日起，我必使你在以色列眾人眼前尊大，使他們知道我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在。

又將你的尊榮給他幾分，使以色列全會眾都聽從他。

他對我說：「我的恩典夠你用的，因為我的能力是在人的軟弱上顯得完全。」所以，我更喜歡誇自己的軟弱，好叫基督的能力覆庇我。

耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把降與他身上的靈分賜那七十個長老。靈停在他們身上的時候，他們就受感說話，以後卻沒有再說。但有兩個人仍在營裏，一個名叫伊利達，一個名叫米達。他們本是在那些被錄的人中，卻沒有到會幕那裏去。靈停在他們身上，他們就在營裏說預言。有個少年人跑來告訴摩西說：「伊利達、米達在營裏說預言。」摩西的幫手，嫩的兒子約書亞，就是摩西所揀選的一個人，說：「請我主摩西禁止他們。」摩西對他說：「你為我的緣故嫉妒人嗎？惟願耶和華的百姓都受感說話！願耶和華把他的靈降在他們身上！」

當那日，耶和華使約書亞在以色列眾人眼前尊大。在他平生的日子，百姓敬畏他，像從前敬畏摩西一樣。

耶利哥城的人對以利沙說：「這城的地勢美好，我主看見了；只是水惡劣，土產不熟而落。」
