The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said,“ The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

The group of prophets from Jericho were watching. They said,“ The spirit of Elijah has been given to Elisha.” They went over to Elisha. They bowed down to him with their faces toward the ground.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him opposite them, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the group of prophets from Jericho saw from a distance what happened, they exclaimed,“ Elijah’s spirit rests upon Elisha!” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were observing saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah has settled on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

And when the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho over against him saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

And when the sons of the prophets which[ were] to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the members of the prophetic guild in Jericho, who were standing at a distance, saw him do this, they said,“ The spirit that energized Elijah rests upon Elisha.” They went to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

「我要從父那裡為你們差護慰者來，祂就是從父而來的真理之靈。祂來了要為我做見證。你們也要為我做見證，因為你們從開始就與我在一起。

耶和華說：「我親自與他們立約，我賜給他們的靈和我放在他們口中的話，必不離開他們和他們的子子孫孫，從現在直到永遠。這是耶和華說的。」

但聖靈降臨在你們身上後，你們必得到能力，在耶路撒冷、猶太全境和撒瑪利亞，直到地極，作我的見證人。」

有一個先知的妻子哀求以利沙說：「你僕人——我丈夫怎樣敬畏耶和華，你是知道的。如今他去世了，債主來取我的兩個孩子做奴隸。」以利沙問她：「我該怎樣幫你呢？告訴我，你家裡有什麼？」婦人答道：「婢女家什麼也沒有，只有一瓶油。」以利沙說：「你去向所有的鄰居借空器皿，要儘量多借一些。然後回家關上門，你和你兒子在屋裡把那瓶油倒在所有借來的器皿中，裝滿的放在一邊。」

婦人進來，在以利沙腳前下拜，然後抱起兒子出去了。

先知中有五十人跟他們來到約旦河，遠遠地站著，他們二人則站在河邊。

一群先知對以利沙說：「你看，我們住的地方實在太小了。請讓我們去約旦河吧，我們每人都可以從那裡砍一根木頭蓋房子居住。」以利沙說：「你們去吧。」其中一人請以利沙一起去，以利沙答應了，便和他們一起去約旦河砍伐樹木。有個人砍樹的時候，斧頭掉進了水裡。他大喊：「唉！師傅，這把斧頭是借來的。」上帝的僕人問：「斧頭掉在哪裡了？」他就指給以利沙看。以利沙砍了一根樹枝拋進水裡，斧頭便浮了上來。以利沙說：「你去拿上來吧！」他便伸手拿起了斧頭。

如果你們為基督的緣故受辱駡，就有福了！因為上帝榮耀的靈常住在你們身上。

耶和華的靈必住在他身上，使他有聰明和智慧、謀略和能力，能認識並敬畏耶和華。

耶和華對約書亞說：「從今天開始，我要使你在以色列人面前得到尊榮，讓他們知道我與你同在，正如從前我跟摩西同在一樣。

把你的權柄賜給他，使以色列全體會眾都聽從他。

但祂說：「我的恩典足夠你用，因為我的能力在人的軟弱上更顯得全備。」所以，我更喜歡誇耀自己的軟弱，好讓基督的能力蔭庇我。

耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把降在摩西身上的靈也賜給七十位長老。靈一降在他們身上，他們就說起預言來，但只說了這一次。七十位長老中的伊利達和米達沒有到會幕去，但耶和華的靈也降在他們身上，他們就在營中說起預言來。有一個青年跑去稟告摩西說：「伊利達和米達正在營中說預言。」摩西揀選的助手——嫩的兒子約書亞就說：「我主摩西，請你禁止他們。」摩西說：「你是怕我的權威受影響嗎？願耶和華的子民都成為先知！願耶和華把祂的靈降在他們身上！」

那一天，耶和華使約書亞在以色列眾人面前受尊重，他像摩西一樣終生受民眾敬畏。

耶利哥城的人對以利沙說：「我主，你看這城地勢很好，只是水不好，地裡長不出莊稼。」
