“ Truly I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.

Why should the nations say,“ Where is their God?”

My adversaries taunt me, as if crushing my bones, while all day long they say to me,“ Where is your God?”

Let the priests, the LORD’s ministers, weep between the portico and the altar. Let them say,“ Have pity on your people, LORD, and do not make your inheritance a disgrace, an object of scorn among the nations. Why should it be said among the peoples,‘ Where is their God?’”

After the death of Moses the LORD’s servant, the LORD spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’s assistant:“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.I have given you every place where the sole of your foot treads, just as I promised Moses.Your territory will be from the wilderness and Lebanon to the great river, the Euphrates River— all the land of the Hittites— and west to the Mediterranean Sea.No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water, which parted to the right and left. Then the two of them crossed over on dry ground.When they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha,“ Tell me what I can do for you before I am taken from you.” So Elisha answered,“ Please, let me inherit two shares of your spirit.”Elijah replied,“ You have asked for something difficult. When Peter saw this, he addressed the people:“ Fellow Israelites, why are you amazed at this? Why do you stare at us, as though we had made him walk by our own power or godliness?The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied before Pilate, though he had decided to release him.

Therefore, since he has been exalted to the right hand of God and has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, he has poured out what you both see and hear.
