以利沙见此情景，便喊道：“我父啊！我父啊！以色列的战车和骑兵啊！”以利沙见以利亚消失在天空中，就悲伤地把自己的衣服撕成两半。

以利沙看见，就呼叫说：“我父啊！我父啊！以色列的战车马兵啊！”以后不再见他了。于是以利沙把自己的衣服撕为两片。

Elisha saw this and cried out,“ My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two.

Elisha saw it and cried out to Elijah,“ My father! You are like a father to me! You, Elijah, are the true chariots and horsemen of Israel!” Elisha didn’t see Elijah anymore. Then Elisha took hold of his own garment and tore it in two.

And Elisha saw it and he cried,“ My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

Elisha saw it and cried out,“ My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” And as they disappeared from sight, Elisha tore his clothes in distress.

As Elisha watched, he kept crying out,“ My father, my father, the chariots and horsemen of Israel!” When he could see him no longer, he took hold of his own clothes, tore them in two,

以利沙患了不治之症，以色列王约阿施前去探望，伏在他身上哭喊道：“我父啊！我父啊！以色列的战车和骑兵啊！”

亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚先知派人对希西迦说：“以色列的上帝耶和华说，‘因为你就亚述王西拿基立的事向我祷告，

除了从天上降下来的人子以外，没有人到过天上。

众天使离开他们升回天上之后，牧羊人便商议说：“我们现在去伯利恒，察看一下主刚才告诉我们的那件事吧！”

我们在这“帐篷”里劳苦叹息，并非想脱去这地上的身体，而是切望能穿上那天上的新身体，让永恒的生命吞灭必朽的身体。

主耶稣说完这些话，就被接回天上，坐在上帝的右边。

正祝福的时候，祂就离开了他们，被接到天上去了。

因此圣经上说：“祂升上高天时，带着许多俘虏，将恩赐赏给众人。”

没有人关心义人的死亡，没有人明白虔诚人的去世。其实义人去世是脱离灾难。这些正直的人得享平安，在坟墓里得到安息。

谁升上高天又降下来？谁将风聚在掌中？谁将众水裹在衣服里？谁定了地的边界？祂叫什么名字？祂儿子叫什么名字？你知道吗？

祷告说：

约伯站起来，撕裂外袍，剃掉头发，俯伏在地上敬拜，说：“我从母腹赤身而来，也必赤身而去。赏赐的是耶和华，收回的也是耶和华。耶和华的名当受称颂！”

有些虔诚人将司提凡埋葬了，为他大声痛哭。

耶稣说完这番话，就在他们眼前被提升天，被一朵云彩接去，离开了他们的视线。

我们在这地上的“帐篷”里叹息，渴望早日迁进那天上的“房屋”，好像更换衣服一样。

接着天上有大声音呼唤他们说：“上这里来！”他们就在敌人的注视下驾云升上天去。

城因正直人的祝福而兴盛，因恶人的口舌而倾覆。

亚述王派他的元帅来辱骂永活的上帝，也许你的上帝耶和华听见那些话，就惩罚他。请你为我们这些剩下的人祷告。’”

祂甚至会解救有罪之人，他们必因你的手清洁而获救。”

我认为智慧胜过武力，然而那位穷人的智慧却被轻视，他所说的话也无人理会。智者的细语胜过官长在愚人中的喊叫。智慧胜过兵器，但一个罪人却能破坏许多善事。

智慧使一个智者比城里十个官长更有能力。

对我说，‘保罗，不用怕，你一定会站在凯撒面前，上帝也会保全所有和你同船的人。’
