“ Am I a God who is near,” declares the Lord,“ And not a God far off?Can a person hide himself in hiding places So that I do not see him?” declares the Lord.“ Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.

But I know your sitting down, Your going out, your coming in, And your raging against Me.Because of your raging against Me And because your complacency has come up to My ears, I will put My hook in your nose And My bridle in your lips, And I will turn you back by the way that you came.

“ Blessed will you be when you come in, and blessed will you be when you go out.

Lord, You have searched me and known me.You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far away.You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, Lord, You know it all.You have encircled me behind and in front, And placed Your hand upon me.Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot comprehend it.Where can I go from Your Spirit? The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in From this time and forever.

“ Cursed will you be when you come in, and cursed will you be when you go out.
