Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:

拉伯沙基遂立、以猶大方言、大聲呼曰、爾曹宜聽大王亞述王之言、

臘沙基遂立、用猶大方言、大聲呼曰、亞述大王之言、爾宜聽從、

拉伯沙基遂立、用猶大言大聲呼曰、爾曹須聽亞述大王之言、

Then the commander stood and called out in Hebrew,“ Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria!

Then the commander stood up and spoke in the Hebrew language. He called out,“ Pay attention to what the great king of Assyria is telling you.

Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out in a loud voice in the language of Judah:“ Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria!

Then the chief of staff stood and shouted in Hebrew to the people on the wall,“ Listen to this message from the great king of Assyria!

The royal spokesman stood and called out loudly in Hebrew:“ Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria.

Then Rabshakeh stood up and shouted with a loud voice in Judean, saying,“ Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria!

Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out with a loud voice in Hebrew, and spoke, saying,“ Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria!

Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and spake, saying, Hear ye the word of the great king, the king of Assyria.

The chief adviser then stood there and called out loudly in the Judahite dialect,“ Listen to the message of the great king, the king of Assyria.

Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and spoke, saying,“ Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria.

Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect[ peace], and at such a time.

For he saith,[ Are] not my princes altogether kings?[ Is] not Calno as Carchemish?[ is] not Hamath as Arpad?[ is] not Samaria as Damascus?As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?Wherefore it shall come to pass,[ that] when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done[ it], and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant[ man]:

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence[ is] this wherein thou trustest?

Behold, the Assyrian[ was] a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: for his root was by great waters.The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chesnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that[ were] in the garden of God, envied him.Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;

For the LORD most high[ is] terrible;[ he is] a great King over all the earth.

Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I[ am] against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river[ is] mine own, and I have made[ it] for myself.

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Then they cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ speech unto the people of Jerusalem that[ were] on the wall, to affright them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city.

Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you.Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make[ an agreement] with me[ by] a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern;Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.[ Beware] lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
