卻行以色列諸王的道，又照着耶和華從以色列人面前趕出的外邦人所行可憎的事，使他的兒子經火，

He followed the ways of the kings of Israel and even sacrificed his son in the fire, engaging in the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.

你行淫亂豈是小事，竟將我的兒女殺了，使他們經火歸與他嗎？

並在欣嫩子谷使他的兒女經火，又觀兆，用法術，行邪術，立交鬼的和行巫術的，多行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹動他的怒氣，

你沒有效法她們的行為，也沒有照她們可憎的事去做，你以那為小事，你一切所行的倒比她們更壞。

卻行以色列諸王的道，又鑄造巴力的像，並且在欣嫩子谷燒香，用火焚燒他的兒女，行耶和華在以色列人面前所驅逐的外邦人那可憎的事；並在邱壇上、山岡上、各青翠樹下獻祭燒香。

亞哈謝也行亞哈家的道；因為他母親給他主謀，使他行惡。

反與他們混雜相合，學習他們的行為，

又污穢欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裏使兒女經火獻給摩洛；

犯了尼八的兒子耶羅波安所犯的罪；他還以為輕，又娶了西頓王謁巴力的女兒耶洗別為妻，去事奉敬拜巴力，在撒馬利亞建造巴力的廟，在廟裏為巴力築壇。亞哈又做亞舍拉，他所行的惹耶和華－以色列神的怒氣，比他以前的以色列諸王更甚。

他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他的父母，又行尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裏的事。他照他父親一切所行的，事奉敬拜巴力，惹耶和華－以色列神的怒氣。

他們在欣嫩子谷建築巴力的邱壇，好使自己的兒女經火歸摩洛；他們行這可憎的事，使猶大陷在罪裏，這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心所起的意。」

耶羅波安王就籌劃定妥，鑄造了兩個金牛犢，對眾民說：「以色列人哪，你們上耶路撒冷去實在是難；這就是領你們出埃及地的神。」他就把牛犢一隻安在伯特利，一隻安在但。這事叫百姓陷在罪裏，因為他們往但去拜那牛犢。

「你還要曉諭以色列人說：凡以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的兒女獻給摩洛的，總要治死他；本地人要用石頭把他打死。

你們奉上供物使你們兒子經火的時候，仍將一切偶像玷污自己，直到今日嗎？以色列家啊，我豈被你們求問嗎？主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，我必不被你們求問。
