我便叫可靠的見證人祭司烏利亞和耶比利家的兒子撒迦利亞來為我做見證。

我的人民因無知識而被毁滅；你、你既棄絕了知識，我也必棄絕你、不讓你做我的祭司。你既忘了你的上帝的禮節規矩，我、我也必忘了你的兒女。

因此到時候各族之民一聽見號角、簫笛、琵琶、琴、瑟、和各樣樂器的聲音，各族之民、列國之民、各種方言的人就都俯伏、向尼布甲尼撒王所立的像下拜。

因為連神言人帶祭司、都褻瀆上帝；甚至在我殿中我也看見他們行的壞事：永恆主發神諭說。

我現在是要對人要好麼？還是要對上帝？或是要想法子討人喜歡麼？若是還要討人喜歡，我就不是基督的僕人了。

以法蓮欺壓人，蹂躪是非；因為他情願隨從虛空神。

跟他進去的有祭司亞撒利雅，還有同亞撒利雅在一起的、永恆主的祭司八十個、有勇氣的人。他們阻擋烏西雅王，對他說：『烏西雅啊，向永恆主燒香並不是你應作的事，乃是亞倫子孫作祭司者的事啊；他們才是受聖職來燒香的。你出聖所吧！因為你行了僭妄事了；並且永恆主上帝也不使你得尊榮。』

因為祭司嘴裏應當保存着知識，人也應該從他口中尋求禮節規矩，因為他是萬軍之永恆主的使者。但你們卻偏離了正路，使許多人在禮節規矩上跌倒；你們破壞了我與利未所立的約：永恆主說。故此我、我也使你們被眾民藐視，看為下賤，因為你們沒有謹守我的道路，竟在禮節規矩上瞻徇情面。』
