Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, even the elders, and to those who brought up Ahab’s sons, saying,

Now there were in Samaria seventy sons of the house of Ahab. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria: to the officials of Jezreel, to the elders and to the guardians of Ahab’s children. He said,

Ahab’s royal family in the city of Samaria had a total of 70 sons. Jehu wrote some letters to the officials of the city. He also sent them to the elders there. And he sent them to the people who took care of Ahab’s children. Jehu said,

Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of the city, to the elders, and to the guardians of the sons of Ahab, saying,

Ahab had seventy sons living in Samaria. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria to the leading officials of Jezreel and to the guardians of Ahab’s dynasty. This is what the letters said,

So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria; and Ahab his son reigned in his place.

Gideon had seventy sons conceived from his body, for he had many wives.

For the saying which he cried by Yahweh’s word against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, will surely happen.”

You shall make judges and officers in all your gates, which Yahweh your God gives you, according to your tribes; and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.

He bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built Samaria, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill.

She said to her mistress,“ I wish that my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would heal him of his leprosy.”

He had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkey colts. They had thirty cities, which are called Havvoth Jair to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.

He had forty sons and thirty sons’ sons who rode on seventy donkey colts. He judged Israel eight years.

So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and to the nobles who were in his city, who lived with Naboth.She wrote in the letters, saying,“ Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.Set two men, wicked fellows, before him, and let them testify against him, saying,‘ You cursed God and the king!’ Then carry him out, and stone him to death.”The men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had instructed them in the letters which she had written and sent to them.They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.The two men, the wicked fellows, came in and sat before him. The wicked fellows testified against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth cursed God and the king!” Then they carried him out of the city and stoned him to death with stones.Then they sent to Jezebel, saying,“ Naboth has been stoned, and is dead.”

He sought Ahaziah, and they caught him( now he was hiding in Samaria), and they brought him to Jehu, and killed him; and they buried him, for they said,“ He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought Yahweh with all his heart.” The house of Ahaziah had no power to hold the kingdom.
