我今日重看你的性命，愿耶和华也重看我的性命，并且拯救我脱离一切患难。”

他要救赎他们脱离欺压和强暴；他们的血在他眼中看为宝贵。

我却不以性命为念，也不看为宝贵，只要行完我的路程，成就我从主耶稣所领受的职事，证明神恩惠的福音。

扫罗说：“我有罪了！我儿大卫，你可以回来，因你今日看我的性命为宝贵；我必不再加害于你。我是糊涂人，大大错了。”

叫他长远活着，不见朽坏；因为赎他生命的价值极贵，只可永远罢休。

因为，凡要救自己生命的，必丧掉生命；凡为我丧掉生命的，必得着生命。人若赚得全世界，赔上自己的生命，有什么益处呢？人还能拿什么换生命呢？

因为，妓女能使人只剩一块饼；淫妇猎取人宝贵的生命。

以利亚回答说：“我若是神人，愿火从天上降下来，烧灭你和你那五十人！”于是有火从天上降下来，烧灭五十夫长和他那五十人。王第二次差遣一个五十夫长，带领五十人去见以利亚。五十夫长对以利亚说：“神人哪，王吩咐你快快下来！”

在耶和华眼中，看圣民之死极为宝贵。
