What is more, he was chosen by the churches to accompany us as we carry the offering, which we administer in order to honor the Lord himself and to show our eagerness to help.

及至我来到了，你们写信举荐谁，我就打发他们，把你们的捐资送到耶路撒冷去。若我也该去，他们可以和我同去。

凡事都是为你们，好叫恩惠因人多越发加增，感谢格外显多，以致荣耀归与神。

但我样样都有，并且有余。我已经充足，因我从以巴弗提受了你们的馈送，当作极美的香气，为神所收纳、所喜悦的祭物。我的神必照他荣耀的丰富，在基督耶稣里，使你们一切所需用的都充足。

那时，使徒和长老并全教会定意从他们中间拣选人，差他们和保罗、巴拿巴同往安提阿去；所拣选的就是称呼巴撒巴的犹大和西拉。这两个人在弟兄中是作首领的。

因为办这供给的事，不但补圣徒的缺乏，而且叫许多人越发感谢神。他们从这供给的事上得了凭据，知道你们承认基督顺服他的福音，多多地捐钱给他们和众人，便将荣耀归与神。他们也因神极大的恩赐显在你们心里，就切切地想念你们，为你们祈祷。

神能将各样的恩惠多多地加给你们，使你们凡事常常充足，能多行各样善事。

弟兄们，我把神赐给马其顿众教会的恩告诉你们，就是他们在患难中受大试炼的时候，仍有满足的快乐，在极穷之间还格外显出他们乐捐的厚恩。我可以证明，他们是按着力量，而且也过了力量，自己甘心乐意地捐助，再三地求我们，准他们在这供给圣徒的恩情上有份；

所以，我们同心定意，拣选几个人，差他们同我们所亲爱的巴拿巴和保罗往你们那里去。

各人要照所得的恩赐彼此服侍，作神百般恩赐的好管家。若有讲道的，要按着神的圣言讲；若有服侍人的，要按着神所赐的力量服侍，叫神在凡事上因耶稣基督得荣耀。原来荣耀、权能都是他的，直到永永远远。阿们！

因此我劝提多，既然在你们中间开办这慈惠的事，就当办成了。你们既然在信心、口才、知识、热心，和待我们的爱心上，都格外显出满足来，就当在这慈惠的事上也格外显出满足来。

所以弟兄们，当从你们中间选出七个有好名声、被圣灵充满、智慧充足的人，我们就派他们管理这事。但我们要专心以祈祷、传道为事。”大众都喜悦这话，就拣选了司提反，乃是大有信心、圣灵充满的人，又拣选腓利、伯罗哥罗、尼迦挪、提门、巴米拿，并进犹太教的安提阿人尼哥拉，叫他们站在使徒面前。使徒祷告了，就按手在他们头上。
