所以，我们从今以后，不凭着外貌认人了。虽然凭着外貌认过基督，如今却不再这样认他了。

今而後我儕不以貌識人、雖曾以貌識基督、今不復如此識之、

此後吾不以貌視人、雖曾以貌視基督、今不復如此視之、

故此後我不以外貌認人、雖曾以外貌認基督、今後不復如此認之、

是故自今而後、吾人不復以俗眼視人矣；雖亦曾以俗眼視基督、今則不復然矣。

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

So from now on we don’t look at anyone the way the world does. At one time we looked at Christ in that way. But we don’t anymore.

From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.

So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!

From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective. Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective, yet now we no longer know him in this way.

Therefore from now on we recognize no one by the flesh; even though we have known Christ by the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.

Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.

Wherefore we henceforth know no man after the flesh: even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

From now on, then, we do not know anyone in a purely human way. Even if we have known Christ in a purely human way, yet now we no longer know Him in this way.

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we[ him] no more.

So then from now on we acknowledge no one from an outward human point of view. Even though we have known Christ from such a human point of view, now we do not know him in that way any longer.

Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ (niv)

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you— they are full of the Spirit and life. (niv)

Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. (niv)

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. (niv)

My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism.Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in.If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say,“ Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man,“ You stand there” or“ Sit on the floor by my feet,”have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? (niv)

You are my friends if you do what I command. (niv)

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. (niv)

Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him,“ Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.”“ Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked.Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said,“ Here are my mother and my brothers!Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” (niv)

He said of his father and mother,‘ I have no regard for them.’ He did not recognize his brothers or acknowledge his own children, but he watched over your word and guarded your covenant. (niv)

“ Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. (niv)

Why do you scorn my sacrifice and offering that I prescribed for my dwelling? Why do you honor your sons more than me by fattening yourselves on the choice parts of every offering made by my people Israel?’ (niv)

I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure. (niv)

We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.As for those who were held in high esteem— whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism— they added nothing to my message. (niv)

He replied to him,“ Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?”Pointing to his disciples, he said,“ Here are my mother and my brothers.For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” (niv)

Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast. (niv)

“ Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied.“ My hour has not yet come.” (niv)
