我初不信、及我涖臨、目擊斯事、乃知所聞猶不及所見之半也、爾之智慧全備、較我所聞、尤覺其多。

But I did not believe what they said until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half the greatness of your wisdom was told me; you have far exceeded the report I heard.

But I didn’t believe what people were saying. So I came to see for myself. And now I believe it! You are twice as wise as people say you are. The report I heard doesn’t even begin to tell the whole story about you.

but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it. And behold, half the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you surpass the report that I heard.

主之仁慈華美、浩乎無涯使五穀繁衍、少者壯盛、新釀充盈、幼婦怡悅。

告王曰、彼邑聞爾作為、與爾智慧、其言不虛、

天下列王。聞所羅門智慧、遣其民人、願聽聞焉。

諸婢曰、嬌美之姝爾之夫子、比他人之夫子、何以愈乎。爾乃告我若此。我之夫子、色白而紅、為萬人之冠、首若兼金、長髮依稀垂柳、黑鬢彷佛堆鴉。目若溪濱之鴿、以乳洗滌、行列甚整。玉頰芬芳、有如香草、栽於園囿。絳唇若玉薽之嫣媚、吐氣若沒藥之滴瀝。手帶金釧、嵌以黃玉、身若象齒、其色光潤、鑲以青玉。足若花石柱、置於金座、儀容英爽、森森然如利巴嫩之柏香木。吹氣若蘭、洵可愛也。耶路撒冷女乎、我之夫子若此。

亦有人兮、維爾是畏、維爾是賴、福祉崇隆、眾目瞻仰、

亦勝於以士拉人以探、希慢、甲各、達大、馬曷諸子、以及兆人、其名洋溢乎四方。

眾徒告之曰、我已見主、曰、不使我見手中釘跡、指探其跡、手探其脅、我不信也、○越八日、門徒復集、多馬與焉、門已閉、耶穌至、立於中曰、爾眾平安、遂謂多馬曰、伸爾指、探我手、伸爾手、探我脅、宜信勿疑、多馬對曰、我主哉、我上帝哉、耶穌曰、多馬乎、爾見而後信、不見亦信者福矣、○
