凡目前之宴樂、人心之嗜好、無所禁止、勞而獲之、逸而享之。由後而觀、覺勞而得者、莫非捕風捉影、於事無益、我為君足以致此、豈他人所能及哉、我察智愚。知智愈乎愚、光愈乎暗。智者明目、愚人行暗、及其終也、何異之有。竊思愚者死、智者亦死、雖智何益、豈非虛哉。智愚既同歸於死、而後世忘其名、天下事皆作如是觀。斯世所為、殷憂慼慼、莫非捕風捉影、故我不樂其生。我一身勞瘁、不可為悅、蓋所經營、必遺於後起之人、子孫智愚、難以逆料、惟我竭其心思、勞苦畢生、彼得而主之、豈不盡屬於虛哉。可知經營百事、絕無餘望。人之勞心力、運智謀、凡事亨通、後人逸而得之、盡屬於虛、大可憫也。人生於世、辛勤憂慼、何益之有、終日勞苦、終夜不安、亦屬於虛。以我觀之、上帝所賜、既勤勞而得之、則必以飲以食、安坐而享、樂莫大焉。

暨巴拉、近野之達莫、以至府庫、車騎之邑、暨在耶路撒冷、利巴嫩所轄之境、凡欲建者悉建之。

又建一宅、名曰利巴嫩林、深十丈、廣五丈、高三丈、有柱四行、其上俱有棟梁、悉柏香木所製。
