The priests took their positions, as did the Levites with the Lord’s musical instruments, which King David had made for praising the Lord and which were used when he gave thanks, saying,“ His love endures forever.” Opposite the Levites, the priests blew their trumpets, and all the Israelites were standing.

他們跳舞歌唱的時候，要說：“我的泉源都在你裡面。”

大衛和以色列眾人在神面前，用詩歌，以及彈琴鼓瑟、敲手鼓、響鈸和吹號，盡情歡慶。

亞倫子孫的班次如下：亞倫的兒子是拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒和以他瑪。拿答和亞比戶比他們的父親早死，又沒有兒子；所以以利亞撒和以他瑪作了祭司。大衛和以利亞撒的子孫撒督，以及以他瑪的子孫亞希米勒，把他們的親族分開班次，按著他們的職責服事。

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他是良善的，他的慈愛永遠常存。

耶和華對摩西說：“你要用銀子作兩枝號，要錘出來的，可以用來召集會眾，也可以叫會眾拔營起行。吹號的時候，全體會眾都要到你那裡，聚集在會幕的門口。如果單吹一枝，眾領袖，就是以色列的族長，都要到你那裡聚集。你們吹大聲的時候，那在東邊的營，都要起行。你們第二次吹大聲的時候，那在南邊的營，都要起行；他們要起行，必須吹大聲。但召集會眾的時候，你們要吹號，卻不要吹大聲。亞倫的子孫作祭司的要作吹號的；這要作你們世世代代永遠的條例。你們在本地與欺壓你們的仇敵作戰的時候，就要吹大聲，使你們在耶和華你們的神面前得蒙記念，也得拯救脫離你們的仇敵。此外，在你們快樂的日子和指定的節期，以及月朔，你們獻燔祭和平安祭的時候，也要吹號，這都要在你們的神面前替你們作為記念；我是耶和華你們的神。”

耶和華必成全關乎我的事；耶和華啊！你的慈愛永遠長存，求你不要離棄你手所造的。

並派七個祭司拿著七個羊角，走在約櫃的前面；到第七天，你們要繞城七次，祭司也要吹角。

示巴尼、約沙法、拿坦業、亞瑪賽、撒迦利雅、比拿亞和以利以謝幾位祭司，在神的約櫃前吹號；俄別．以東和耶希亞也作看守約櫃的人。

你們閒逸地彈琴奏樂，又為自己製造樂器，像大衛一樣。

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本是良善的；他的慈愛永遠長存。

所以我的子民必認識我的名，因此到了那日他們就必知道，說這話的就是我。看哪！是我。”

大衛和軍隊的領袖，也給亞薩、希幔和耶杜頓的子孫分派了任務，叫他們用琴瑟響鈸說預言。他們任職的人數如下：亞薩的兒子有撒刻、約瑟、尼探雅和亞薩利拉；亞薩的兒子都歸亞薩指揮，遵照王的旨意說預言。至於耶杜頓，他的兒子有基大利、西利、耶篩亞、示每、哈沙比雅和瑪他提雅，共六人，都歸他們的父親耶杜頓指揮。耶杜頓用琴說預言，稱謝和讚美耶和華。至於希幔，他的兒子有布基雅、瑪探雅、烏薛、細布業、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亞他、基大利提、羅幔提．以謝、約施比加沙、瑪羅提、何提和瑪哈秀。這些人都是希幔的兒子；希幔是王的先見，照著神的話高舉他（“高舉他”原文作“高舉角”）。神賜給希幔十四個兒子，三個女兒。這些人都歸他們的父親指揮，在耶和華的殿裡歌頌，用響鈸和琴瑟在神的殿事奉。亞薩、耶杜頓和希幔都是由王指揮的。他們和他們的親族，在歌頌耶和華的事上受過特別訓練，精於歌唱的，人數共有二百八十八人。

王又指派在耶和華殿中的利未人拿著響鈸和琴瑟，是照著大衛、王的先見迦得和拿單先知所吩咐的，就是耶和華藉他的先知所吩咐的。
