是夜主顯現於所羅門、諭之曰、我聞爾之祈禱、特選此殿為祭我之所、

Then the Lord appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him:“ I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice.

耶和華就第二次向所羅門顯現，像先前在基遍向他顯現一樣。

耶和華你們的神從你們各支派中，選擇了甚麼地方作立他名的居所，你們就當到那裡求問他；把你們的燔祭和其他的祭物、十分之一的禮物和手中的貢獻、還願祭和甘心祭，以及牛群羊群中頭生的，都要帶到那裡去；

那一夜，神向所羅門顯現，對他說：“你無論求甚麼，我必賜給你。”

那時，你要把我吩咐你們的燔祭和其他的祭物、十分之一的禮物和手中的貢獻，以及你們向耶和華許願要獻的最美的一切還願祭，都要帶到耶和華你們的神選擇作為立他名的地方。

如果我們照著神的旨意祈求，他必聽我們；這就是我們對神所存的坦然無懼的心。既然我們知道他聽我們的祈求，我們就知道，我們無論求甚麼，他必賜給我們。

神卻垂聽了，他留心聽了我禱告的聲音。

說：‘哥尼流，你的禱告已蒙垂聽，你的善行在神面前已蒙記念。

天使說：“撒迦利亞，不要怕，因為你的祈求已蒙垂聽，你妻子以利沙伯要給你生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫約翰。

卻揀選了猶大支派，他所愛的錫安山。他建造了自己的聖所好像在高天之上，又像他所建立永存的大地。

亞伯蘭九十九歲的時候，耶和華向他顯現，對他說：“我是全能的神，你要在我面前行事為人；你要作完全人。

耶和華啊！困苦人的心願你已經聽見，你必堅固他們的心，也必留心聽他們的呼求；

現在我揀選了這殿，把它分別為聖，使我的名永遠在這殿中；我的眼和我的心也常常留在那裡。

因為耶和華揀選了錫安，定意把它當作自己的居所。他說：“這是我永遠安息的居所；我要住在這裡，因為我定意這樣作。

以利亞對他說：“你留在這裡吧，因為耶和華差派我往約旦河去。”以利沙說：“我指著永活的耶和華和你的性命起誓：我必不離開你。”於是他們二人繼續前行。

“你回去對我子民的君主希西家說：‘你祖大衛的神耶和華這樣說：我聽見了你的禱告，看見了你的眼淚。看哪，我必醫治你，第三日你要上耶和華的殿。
