在敵人虜者之地、一心一意歸爾、向其故土、爾所賜其列祖者、與爾所簡之邑、及我為爾名所建之室祈禱、

一心一意、歸向乎爾、望爾所賜列祖之故土、及爾所簡之邑垣、與我所建之殿、為籲名之所、祈求於爾、

如在敵人擄之之地、盡心盡意歸向主、向其故土、即主所賜其列祖之地、與主所選之邑、及我為主名所建之殿、祈禱於主、

and if they turn back to you with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity where they were taken, and pray toward the land you gave their ancestors, toward the city you have chosen and toward the temple I have built for your Name;

And they turn back to you with all their heart and soul. Suppose it happens in the land where they were taken as prisoners. There they pray toward the land you gave their people long ago. They pray toward the city you have chosen. And they pray toward the temple I’ve built for your Name.

耶和华说：“虽然如此，你们应当禁食、哭泣、悲哀，一心归向我。”你们要撕裂心肠，不撕裂衣服。归向耶和华你们的神；因为他有恩典，有怜悯，不轻易发怒，有丰盛的慈爱，并且后悔不降所说的灾。

我便禁食，披麻蒙灰，定意向主神祈祷恳求。我向耶和华我的神祈祷、认罪，说：“主啊，大而可畏的神，向爱主、守主诫命的人守约施慈爱。

你们要呼求我，祷告我，我就应允你们。你们寻求我，若专心寻求我，就必寻见。耶和华说：我必被你们寻见，我也必使你们被掳的人归回，将你们从各国中和我所赶你们到的各处招聚了来，又将你们带回我使你们被掳掠离开的地方。这是耶和华说的。

但以理知道这禁令盖了玉玺，就到自己家里（他楼上的窗户开向耶路撒冷），一日三次，双膝跪在他神面前，祷告感谢，与素常一样。

你和你的子孙若尽心尽性归向耶和华你的神，照着我今日一切所吩咐的听从他的话；那时，耶和华你的神必怜恤你，救回你这被掳的子民；耶和华你的神要回转过来，从分散你到的万民中将你招聚回来。你被赶散的人，就是在天涯的，耶和华你的神也必从那里将你招聚回来。耶和华你的神必领你进入你列祖所得的地，使你可以得着；又必善待你，使你的人数比你列祖众多。耶和华你神必将你心里和你后裔心里的污秽除掉，好叫你尽心尽性爱耶和华你的神，使你可以存活。

所以耶和华使亚述王的将帅来攻击他们，用铙钩钩住玛拿西，用铜链锁住他，带到巴比伦去。他在急难的时候，就恳求耶和华他的神，且在他列祖的神面前极其自卑。他祈祷耶和华，耶和华就允准他的祈求，垂听他的祷告，使他归回耶路撒冷，仍坐国位。玛拿西这才知道惟独耶和华是神。
