供職的人和他們的子孫記在下面：哥轄的子孫中有歌唱的希幔。希幔是約珥的兒子；約珥是撒母耳的兒子；

要用角聲讚美他，鼓瑟彈琴讚美他！擊鼓跳舞讚美他！用絲弦的樂器和簫的聲音讚美他！用大響的鈸讚美他！用高聲的鈸讚美他！

希幔的族兄亞薩是比利家的兒子，亞薩在希幔右邊供職。比利家是示米亞的兒子；

歌唱的行在前，作樂的隨在後，都在擊鼓的童女中間。

嫩的兒子約書亞召了祭司來，吩咐他們說：「你們擡起約櫃來，要有七個祭司拿七個羊角走在耶和華的約櫃前」；又對百姓說：「你們前去繞城，帶兵器的要走在耶和華的約櫃前。」約書亞對百姓說完了話，七個祭司拿七個羊角走在耶和華面前吹角；耶和華的約櫃在他們後面跟隨。帶兵器的走在吹角的祭司前面，後隊隨着約櫃行。祭司一面走一面吹。約書亞吩咐百姓說：「你們不可呼喊，不可出聲，連一句話也不可出你們的口，等到我吩咐你們呼喊的日子，那時才可以呼喊。」這樣，他使耶和華的約櫃繞城，把城繞了一次；眾人回到營裏，就在營裏住宿。約書亞清早起來，祭司又擡起耶和華的約櫃。七個祭司拿七個羊角在耶和華的約櫃前，時常行走吹角；帶兵器的在他們前面走，後隊隨着耶和華的約櫃行。祭司一面走一面吹。第二日，眾人把城繞了一次，就回營裏去。六日都是這樣行。第七日清早，黎明的時候，他們起來，照樣繞城七次；惟獨這日把城繞了七次。到了第七次，祭司吹角的時候，約書亞吩咐百姓說：「呼喊吧，因為耶和華已經把城交給你們了！這城和其中所有的都要在耶和華面前毀滅；只有妓女喇合與她家中所有的可以存活，因為她隱藏了我們所打發的使者。至於你們，務要謹慎，不可取那當滅的物，恐怕你們取了那當滅的物就連累以色列的全營，使全營受咒詛。惟有金子、銀子，和銅鐵的器皿都要歸耶和華為聖，必入耶和華的庫中。」於是百姓呼喊，祭司也吹角。百姓聽見角聲，便大聲呼喊，城牆就塌陷，百姓便上去進城，各人往前直上，將城奪取；

與他們一同被派的有希幔、耶杜頓，和其餘被選名字錄在冊上的，稱謝耶和華，因他的慈愛永遠長存。希幔、耶杜頓同着他們吹號、敲鈸，大發響聲，並用別的樂器隨着歌頌神。耶杜頓的子孫作守門的。

大衛和擡約櫃的利未人，並歌唱人的首領基拿尼雅，以及歌唱的人，都穿着細麻布的外袍；大衛另外穿着細麻布的以弗得。

那掌管七災的七位天使從殿中出來，穿着潔白光明的細麻衣，胸間束着金帶。

大衛吩咐利未人的族長，派他們歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和鈸作樂，歡歡喜喜地大聲歌頌。於是利未人派約珥的兒子希幔和他弟兄中比利家的兒子亞薩，並他們族弟兄米拉利子孫裏古沙雅的兒子以探。其次還有他們的弟兄撒迦利雅、便雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、烏尼、以利押、比拿雅、瑪西雅、瑪他提雅、以利斐利戶、彌克尼雅，並守門的俄別‧以東和耶利。這樣，派歌唱的希幔、亞薩、以探敲銅鈸，大發響聲；派撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、烏尼、以利押、瑪西雅、比拿雅鼓瑟，調用女音；又派瑪他提雅、以利斐利戶、彌克尼雅、俄別‧以東、耶利、亞撒西雅領首彈琴，調用第八。利未人的族長基拿尼雅是歌唱人的首領，又教訓人歌唱，因為他精通此事。

我的心默默無聲，專等候神；我的救恩是從他而來。

大衛和眾首領分派亞薩、希幔，並耶杜頓的子孫彈琴、鼓瑟、敲鈸、唱歌。他們供職的人數記在下面：亞薩的兒子撒刻、約瑟、尼探雅、亞薩利拉都歸亞薩指教，遵王的旨意唱歌。耶杜頓的兒子基大利、西利、耶篩亞、哈沙比雅、瑪他提雅、示每共六人，都歸他們父親耶杜頓指教，彈琴，唱歌，稱謝，頌讚耶和華。希幔的兒子布基雅、瑪探雅、烏薛、細布業、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亞他、基大利提、羅幔提‧以謝、約施比加沙、瑪羅提、何提、瑪哈秀；這都是希幔的兒子，吹角頌讚。希幔奉神之命作王的先見。神賜給希幔十四個兒子，三個女兒，都歸他們父親指教，在耶和華的殿唱歌、敲鈸、彈琴、鼓瑟，辦神殿的事務。亞薩、耶杜頓、希幔都是王所命定的。他們和他們的弟兄學習頌讚耶和華；善於歌唱的共有二百八十八人。

耶和華曉諭摩西說：「你要用銀子做兩枝號，都要錘出來的，用以招聚會眾，並叫眾營起行。吹這號的時候，全會眾要到你那裏，聚集在會幕門口。若單吹一枝，眾首領，就是以色列軍中的統領，要聚集到你那裏。吹出大聲的時候，東邊安的營都要起行。

匠人立耶和華殿根基的時候，祭司皆穿禮服吹號，亞薩的子孫利未人敲鈸，照以色列王大衛所定的例，都站着讚美耶和華。他們彼此唱和，讚美稱謝耶和華說：他本為善，他向以色列人永發慈愛。他們讚美耶和華的時候，眾民大聲呼喊，因耶和華殿的根基已經立定。

每日早晚，站立稱謝讚美耶和華，

大能者神－耶和華已經發言招呼天下，從日出之地到日落之處。

願他們跳舞讚美他的名，擊鼓彈琴歌頌他！

就蒙恩得穿光明潔白的細麻衣。（這細麻衣就是聖徒所行的義。）

祭司侍立，各供其職；利未人也拿着耶和華的樂器，就是大衛王造出來、藉利未人頌讚耶和華的。（他的慈愛永遠長存！）祭司在眾人面前吹號，以色列人都站立。

大衛和以色列眾人在神前用琴、瑟、鑼、鼓、號作樂，極力跳舞歌唱。

大衛派幾個利未人在耶和華的約櫃前事奉，頌揚，稱謝，讚美耶和華－以色列的神：為首的是亞薩，其次是撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、瑪他提雅、以利押、比拿雅、俄別‧以東、耶利，鼓瑟彈琴；惟有亞薩敲鈸，大發響聲；祭司比拿雅和雅哈悉常在神的約櫃前吹號。

耶和華－拯救我的神啊，我晝夜在你面前呼籲。
