天主在西乃山諭摩西畢、賜之二法板、即石板、其上之字、乃天主親手天主親手原文作天主之指所書者、

摩西退而下山、執二法板於手、板之二面有文字、此面有文、彼面亦然、其板乃天主所作、其上之文字、亦為天主所書、或作亦為天主之文字鐫於板上、

今爾若聽從我言、遵守我約、普天下雖皆屬我、我必於萬國中、特選爾為我民、特選爾為我民或作以爾為寶

今所立之約更美、立約所許之福亦更美、耶穌既為此約之中保、則其所得祭司之職亦更美、前約若無虧缺、則無立後約之處、［經載］主責民曰、日將至、我與以色列家及猶大家、將立新約、此約、不似我與其祖所立之約、即我援其手、導之出伊及時所立者、蓋彼不守我約、故我不眷顧之、此乃主所言者、主又曰、此日之後、我與以色列家所立之約、即將以我之律法、置於其衷、銘於其心、我將為彼之天主、彼將為我之民、亦不需各教其兄弟鄰里曰、爾當識主、蓋由小至大、皆必識我、我將宥其不義、不復念其罪惡云、既言新約、則以前約為舊、凡舊而漸衰者、必速歸於無有、

主命摩西曰、爾琢石板二、當如前式、前之石板爾碎之、我以彼板之言、書於此板、

摩西近營、見犢、又見民舞蹈、怒甚、以手中二板擲於山下而碎之、

以法板藏於匱中、貫杠於匱之兩旁、置贖罪蓋於匱上、

今日爾眾、爾諸族長、支派之牧伯、爾長老有司、及以色列眾男、爾子女妻室、與爾營中之外邦客旅、以及為爾析薪汲水者、俱立於主爾之天主前、欲爾遵主爾天主之約、即今日主發誓與爾所立者、或作欲爾遵主爾之天主今日與爾所立之約及所立之誓主今日立爾為己民、己為爾之天主、循其所許於爾、亦循其所誓於爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各、此約此誓我不第與爾曹立、

主在摩押地、諭摩西與以色列人立約、此即其約之言、此外有主在何烈與以色列人所立之約、或作此約在主與以色列人於何烈所立之約之外

以約書誦與民聽、民曰、凡主所命之言、我必聽從遵行、摩西以血灑民曰、主與爾立約、欲爾遵守此諸誡命、以此血為證、
